not sure that a 2006 will have the DPF to be honest... yes i agree the terraclean is a worthwhile investment has it had a new clutch??? its gonna need one.... unless its an auto of course lol

Hi Dean yes you should inform ur insurance company if you have a nasty bump and they find out its unlikely they would honour your insurance claim i also wouldn't have it done it will only cause things to wear out quicker than they would have under normal conditions your on a mission for a big fail.... and to Peter as for the 2.2 does that have a cam belt or chain the mondeo (same engine i thought) defo has a chain? and to Kevin bear in mind with that kind of mileage the clutch could fall out of it at anytime depending on how its been driven thats a £1000 job to have done....

Hi Peter Tyre pressure monitoring system all ok again now :-) when they removed the the front under tray they didnt put the tyre reading equipment back where it should be..... I'm sure it was just an oversight but still poor workmanship in my oppinion now im pretty sure the the whole headlight issue will be a similar problem ie forgot to plug something back in somewhere.... would have had a better look but one of the wheel nuts wont come off i will have to look closer at that at some other time.... Rich

what a nightmare.... my intercooler went bang.... ok no big deal Rang Jag customer relations they tell me to pop into nearest stealership to diagnose problem (I already knew but hey I will follow protocol) they may contribute to repair due to the fact its a common problem :-) result.... they diagnose burst intercooler Jag customer relations no we wont contribute as I have not had the car serviced by a dealer hmmm I have only had the car 3 months and have every intention of getting it serviced but they are not interested very poor if you ask me when its a well documented problem and they quote me £750 for the repair so go back home and find the receipt from when i bought the car RESULT!!!! a day before the 3 month warranty is up :-) so after a week of driving around in a Citroen C1 I get my car back (considering sueing France the ride and comfort levels of the C1 well lets say it left me in pain...) but so happy for the return of my car drives beautifully once again following day......... tyre pressure monitoring system fault..... checked tyre pressures all ok I had a Funeral to go to so not worrying about that now.... attended Funeral and wake then out for something to eat with friends that I really should try and spend more time with all in all had a great day all things considered untill the drive home in the dark.... my friend lives in the middle of nowhere my headlights appear to pointing directly at the floor get out of the car both headlights lit so not a bulb out... when changing the intercooler have they forgotten to plug the self leveller back in?? (I have xenons) have they forgotten to plug something back in for tyre pressure monitoring or disturbed something can any one give me any idea of where to start looking??? have to say disgusted with Jaguar tho THERE IS NO WAY MY CAR IS GOING IN TO JAGUAR FOR ANYTHING EVER NOW!!! W*NKERS!!! and I have to say I won't even consider buying a Jag in the future although it is a fantastic car

Welcome Rob but if only you had bought an XF with a proper Diesel engine you wouldn't need to consider a re-map but then again the money you will save in fuel you can easily afford the re-map and new turbo's as and when they give up lol

hmmm problem maybe the fact you dont need a computer to reset the service light from memory (could be in accurate info) you press and hold the fog light switch whilst turning the ignition on ie dont press the brake when ignition is on you press and hold the left stalk then the dash lights up resetting service indicator (or something like) maybe he reset something else with his computer.....

Cant say as I have noticed any damage to the front of my Portfolio XF S and been washing it 2-3 times a week since owning it I can only advise dont drive so close to the car infront be patient and wait for the fecker to move the feck out of the way before nailing it past the fecker.... lol

Well currently enroute to Silverstone and averaging 48.6 MPG that's the best I have seen since having the car previous best was 46.3

Bit the bullet and have had my car Terracleaned this morning I have had a few issues with my car lighting up the dash with restricted performance but after switching the car off for 5 mins and restarting all is well again but thought I would give this Terraclean a go and see what happens.... Only driven it 7 miles back from having it done no noticeable differences yet.....

found this any help?? For those who want to change the rear pads Jaguar recommend that the EPB (hand brake) is calibrated as detailed below. This is taken from Topix and is an update that applies to ALL XF's and supersedes TSB JTB00208/2010 dated 31 August 2010 Cars Covered S-TYPE VIN Range: M45255-N91220 XF VIN Range: R00001 Onwards XK Range VIN Range: B00001 Onwards XJ Range VIN Range: G00001-H30057 XJ Range VIN Range: V00001 Onwards After completing any mechanical service work on the Park brake actuator, Park brake cables or rear brake calipers through which the Park brake operates (including brake pad replacement), the Park brake must be re-calibrated to the procedure in this bulletin. Failure to do this may result in incorrect operation of the Park brake, with warning lamps illuminating and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C1801-00 or C1802-00 being stored. 1. Reset the EPB module as detailed below a. Switch off the ignition. b. Disconnect the battery for 30 seconds (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, section 414-01). c. Re-connect the battery. 2. Start the engine. 3. Firmly apply and release the footbrake five times. 4. Confirm that the message 'NOT CALIBRATED' or 'APPLY FOOT AND PARK BRAKE' is displayed on the instrument cluster message center. This indicates that the parking brake is in calibration mode. 5. Lightly press the footbrake pedal. 6. Apply the parking brake by using the EPB switch. 7. Release the parking brake. 8. Release the footbrake. 9. Confirm that the brake warning lamp is no longer illuminated on the instrument pack and that the 'NOT CALIBRATED' message is no longer displayed in the message center. 10. Apply and release the EPB five times to ensure no error is present

Hi Peter who where did you get the terra clean done? John could it be a coil pack breaking down when things heat up or can it have the misfire when cold too?
