  1. They don't have an electronic steering lock do they? It's about the right area for one
  2. Well Happy birthday for Friday hope you have a great time up north :-)
  3. Glad to be able to help I just hope you don't have the Alpine radio the one I put up won't work with the Alpine system...
  4. Hi James I have no idea to be honest... I'm not an aircon engineer they are usually easy to spot tho metal pipe with a plastic cap of sorts underneath the cap the valve looks the same as on a tyre where you would blow them up as for which is the high and low I really couldn't advise Regards Rich
  5. Enjoy it still loving mine a week later lol Regards Rich
  6. Hi Karen thats absolute bull you buy the adapter to fit your radio Jaguar Xtype Lead I have fitted a few parrot kits to many different cars I have had and the van never ever had a problem getting the correct lead for one yet... Regards Rich
  7. Hi Alan I do believe being gas struts a lot of the problem lies on our great british weather I'm sure on a hot day the boot will open much further if not all the way but on a cold day it will not due to the expansion/contraction of the gas in the strut I'm pretty sure that if they fitted a strut that would fully open the boot in our coldest of temperatures -18 a few years ago I can recall coldest I remember but I'm only young.... (stop laughing) then come the summer months when its getting into the 30's your boot lid maybe flying off and denting that lovely bonnet..... the only way that it could be made to work is to be fully motorised so regardless of weather it would just work (until the motor packed up atleast) that would be great with a motor installed they could make it close the boot too :-) Regards Rich

    TPMS

Hi All I have had issues with the tyres loosing pressure the onboard tells me and I blow em back up seems to be 2 or 3 days between fills... first time yesterday on the passenger front (brand new wheel), noticed the valve was a bit damaged and started looking for new ones and soon came to the realisation that the TPMS sensors are attached to the valve, so after doing a bit of looking around do I buy just new valves.. £12 each or ther abouts.... or buy new TPMS sensors with the valves already attached.... £50-£60 each I'm thinking the latter due to the fact my car is a 59 plate and the batteries are due to expire in the sensors anyway read they have a 5 year life??? can they be bought cheaper? I read somewhere the the Land Rover ones are cheaper and exactly the same unit Jaguar just charge more for them... after replacing them do they just work or does the car need to find them is this done automatically or does it need pluging in? or can I do it from the cars onboard? Regards Rich
  11. forget the alloygators.... reading reviews steer well clear...
  12. Thanks Peter Fortunately I have a member at my shooting club that does alloy re-furbs (not sure if he is any good yet but i do have a set of alloys off my old car) Mondeo ST might get those done and then sell them I get to see his work I hope to make a profit from selling the wheels I gain all round hopefully which can then go towards getting the scuffed rim repaired :-) whilst looking on tinternet and found these http://www.alloygator.co.uk/ anyone used them ?? oh and another thing my car doesnt have the leapers in the headlights :-(
  13. This is true but they have also seen some kerbing and I know that can be refurbed too but I would rather have new wheels just because I don't know how the car was driven before it was mine and how they came to be damaged if that makes sense....
  14. Hi Trevor I'm not sure about the leaper as yet I will be sure to have a look when I get back to her later today.... I also need to go get a tyre removed to see if I have a cracked rim.... Not looking forward to that outcome one was replaced by the garage I bought it from on Friday passenger front but now the driver front is loosing air I'm guessing it had a pair of cracked rims I have spoken the the dealer who tells me wheels are not a warranty item although I think he has set a president by replacing one already?? I may offer to go 50/50 with him to be fair if you don't ask you don't get all I know is 20" rims are going to be expensive..... Unless I take my guns to the local jag dealer then I could be looking at a considerable discount hehehe

  16. Fortunately I have fitted my own state of the art CCTV equipment at considerable cost to myself but I can move the cameras around PTZ pan tilt zoom from any where in the world and view them via my iphone When the police have incidents they tend to come knocking my door to view my CCTV footage as they have told me it's the best they have ever seen :-) the advantages of being an electrician like me is I know a little bit about this kinda stuff ;-) I am also a firearms holder and no not talking shotguns I regularly take trips to shoot at Bisley at 1200 meters I have also been know to clean said rifles in the garden during the summer ( word soon gets around when the neighbours see such items ) which adds to my security I can't think why??? I also have a sign on the house stating that trespassers will be shot survivors will be prosecuted all that and trophies and medals for shooting dotted around again when the neighbours see word gets around With all that said I don't have much trouble hehehe
  17. My understanding is mine is keyless to... the key has to be within 3 feet 1 meter of the car to get it to unlock and they key has to be inside the car to start... you can however start the car and walk away from the car quite some distance and the engine keeps running (i tried it) but if you attempt to drive the car away it will cut out after a short distance I believe in the region of 100 yds this is so that if your attacker or thief attempts to steal your car it puts a safe distance between you and the thief... hope that makes sense.... also dont forget you will still need to lock your car simply walking away does NOT lock the car to lock it use the remote or before you walk away from the car press the button on the door handle (there is a button on all 4 handles so press the one nearest to you) the one pressing the button to lock has to have the key also you cant get the passenger on the opposite side of the car to lock it the key has to be within 3ft 1 Meter of the button being pressed :-)
  18. oooooo all sparkly :) Welcome
  19. I would reccomend getting the aircon checked out if it has lost gas you really dont want to leave it empty that will do further damage and it should be left always on!!! I never switch mine off you need to keep the oil in the syatem circulating you dont want the rubber seals drying out and cracking due to lack of lubrication...
  20. I am quite quickly beginning to realise your all bonkers!!!!
