  1. Ok dpf cleaner seems to have at least got dpf to the point where it will regenerate. 5 min job to get it in take out sensor spray whole can in refit sensor, run car for 15 mins stationary then take out for 30 mins driving it like you stole it. Light gone from red to amber and off to Wales tomorrow 190 mile drive all motorway should regenerate in that time. Did it with sports button in and used manual shift as 2.5 thousand revs is 90 mph. And that's not legal. So all happy at the moment thanks to all who had imput appreciated.
  2. If this happens to anyone else neutral brakes get to side of road turn of ignition but not until your under control as steering may lock, if ignition stops engine ok if not then it's feeding off sump oil, get out of car it will rev to destruction. If this advice is bad then please say so just thinking safety.
  3. Ok update Crankshaft position sensor replaced car now is clear of all codes except dpf filter blocked amber light, still running in reduced performance mode but don't think the performance is reduced going like a bat out of hell. Have a can of dpf professional cleaner, take out sensor with long hose spray whole can into cold filter wait 5 or 10 minutes then car for a bit of a thrash should blow everything out the back will report back when I have done this.
  4. That sounds a bit more realistic will keep looking
  5. That's an hour and a half from my home and a tad expensive, With what I am thinking about I can end up with as many keys as I want for 5pounds each. Granted if it goes wrong could end up with a bill for over 300 pounds thanks for the information anyway appreciated.
  6. Really didn't know this timpsons in Stevenage want 200 pounds and send keys away as they don't have a machine that can make the extra cut on the jag key. Will keep looking happy to pay 50 or 60 pound will even supply my own flip key, blank and transponder. Anyone out there within 20 miles Stevenage.
  7. Go eBay and buy a FM transmitter very small fits on top of your I pod transmits to your radio. Keep plugged in in your centre box remote in hand or fixed on dash, sorted
  8. Hi just got car only one key. Have acquired flip key off ebay 5 pounds can get new blade cut for free if serial number supplied this I can do cost 4.99, am led to believe that car will sweet to this new key and my genuine one. The only problem is the transponder I only have the one in the genuine key. My question is this if I remove transponder from genuine key fix it inside close to ignition lock, remove and dispose of e bay transponder will both keys then work as remote and start car, I am prepared to accept that security of car will be less but total cost would be 9 pound and 99 pence
  9. Thank you Joe you are a gent have downloaded manual will proof to be very useful. As for codes don't know exactly what they were but the garage that read them for me are first class, have had another look at what they wrote and I got it wrong it was Crankshaft sensor low signal. EGR insufficient flow. They did not sort this out as they had just finished repairing a leak it was a bill I didn't need and I can sort these out myself to keep cost down. Been a plasterer for forty years just had a disc removed so off work for foreseeable future self employed so no money sitting indoors this gives me something to do. So will take off EGR, s clean and refit , check that Crankshaft sensor has good connection and or replace. Once again thank you for your help much appreciated.
  10. Hi battery is brand new, codes says camshaft position sensor. I don't doubt your greater knowledge I was just going by badge on the back that says super charged I know it has twin turbos as they have just been renewed just wish I could find someone who knows where the camshaft position sensor is located been on the other site and all they will tell me is what page it is in the workshop manual and that there's a guy called gus who has one.
  11. Hi all just picked up this and have the restricted performance up on screen. Think it's camshaft position sensor before I order a new one would like to remove and clean old one as car has sat for quite a while so I've been told. Would one of you knowledgeable people tell me where I will find it, thanks in advance phildog
