Polishes up rather well.... I'm still on the lookout for a rear lip spoiler and a black grille that aren't stupid money, then tints to the rear windows, fit the new plates (with a black badge down the side) when the private plate comes off and I'll be done externally. It's my daily, so no lowering or anything like that, just get it looking sexier and keep it mechanically sound

Another small improvement (in my opinion) today. I've replaced the clear side repeaters, these........ .....with these darker ones with chromed bulbs........... I like the chromed bulbs in these, as I'm not a fan of the 'fried egg' look created by orange bulbs. The chromed ones definitely flash orange... I think the darker ones suit the car much better as they continue the dark flow of the black bump strips....

Hi and welcome to the club. I'm new to Jags with my 2005 X-Type, and I'm loving mine too. I agree with your comment about the seats. I come from a seat building background, having spent 8 years making them for Nissan, and I have to say the Jaguar seats are more comfy than any others in any car I've owned, and that includes Volvos and Saabs. Get some pics up of your, sorry, your wifes X-Type. We love pics. Take Care Chris -

I'm double your age (44), and have had nearly 50 cars, but I picked up my first Jaguar (an X-Type as well) a fortnight ago and love it. Well, I got to the Wainstones Arms last night at about 8pm, then promptly got a phone call from my lass to say there was a leak under the sink in the kitchen! About turn!! It was nowt-nor-something to fix, but by the time I had sorted it, I couldn't be chewed to go out again, so I missed the meet. Doh! What was it like 'popeye' Keith?

As you can probably deduce from my user name, I'm not a Smoggy by birth! I move down here about a year ago, and love it. Having the N.York Moors on my doorstep is great, especially when I'm sat in my Boxster ;)

I'm not au fait with Jaguars yet, but in my old Nissans the brake light would often come on when the brake fluid was low, and that would often be because the pads were close to minimum and needed changing.

Could be dulled lenses, as mentioned above. If you end up upgrading the bulbs, I recommend Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited. Awesome bulbs, and every bit as white as HID's without the problems.

Thanks Trev. The plate belongs to the previous owner and is in the process of being transferred, so it won't be staying on. I've already got some new plates made up for when it changes, with some nice black side badges to tie in with the car... Hopefully, the Jag will be my BFF (best friend forever)!! haha

Thanks, I've sent Steve a pm, no reply yet. Maybe I have to cough up to get a sticky boost of bhp. I did a small improvement the other day. I'm not sure if little things like this are frowned upon in the Jag world, but I've always liked yellow fog lights against darker colours. Yes, I know it's seen as either a JDM or French thing, but I just like it..... Yay or nay, all opinions welcomed.
