  1. Awesome times on a Friday

  2. Very true Peter, I had a Ford Probe 24V some years back and come to have the rear drop links changed, only to listen to the remark from the bloke on the sales counter that they were the same ones that were fitted to a Nissan Micra!!
  3. Hi Alex, its definitely a pre face lift model you have there. The problem with the reg could be assigned to the fact that some cars just weren't sold before the next model came out, I would have a guess and say that whoever bought and registered the car new had a substantial discount at the dealership.
  4. Oh sorry Trevor I misunderstood your post. Anyway have a good pre birthday week. :)
  5. Hi Mike, its good to hear that you have noticed a difference although on the other hand it doesn't sound as dramatic as I would have hoped because all your issues haven't really disappeared.
  6. lol, unfortunately its a factory shutdown holiday and the buggers are making me stop home for a week!!
  7. Happy Birthday for this week Trevor, have a good one.
  8. Hi Mike, did you notice an improvement in operation?
  9. Well, that's the Christmas boxes done!

  12. And another new decanter! Wifey becoming slightly obsessive me thinks.

  13. My problem is trying to stop her spending money, the exact problem being if she asks for something I daren't say no!!
  14. Hi Peter, yes I believe the oil per litre is quite expensive think he said it was around £20. I'm extremely happy with that price and will be booking it in during an upcoming holiday in around four weeks time. I'll post my thoughts on any differences I feel, just the TCM update should smooth out the ride a bit,
  15. Yes, new oil included in the price. The garage is a God send for Jag owners on a budget.
  16. I hear you with that one Trevor
  17. Peter, had reason lately to call at my local Jag specialists and he's just estimated me £200-£250 for the gearbox to be serviced and the TCM reprogrammed with the latest release of software. Its done 124,000 so thinking best get it looked at and something done with it as a precaution.
  18. Hi Adrian, Funny you should say, mine packed in two weeks ago, stuck straight up the windscreen much to the amusement of the local Audi and BMW brigade. I took it down to AWJ on Sutherland Road in Longton, SOT and one of the mechanics took a look at it and after checking everything that you have Adrian, deduced it was either the motor or the actuator. Also rather than mucking about stripping the assembly down they replaced the whole thing with one off a bi turbo diesel, so I'm assuming there is a fair amount of standardisation with the assembly. And they sorted it within a day. £126
  19. lol, Damien Hirst and you that is!
  20. Hi Trevor, I'd agree with that sir, cheapness is all relative to expendable income........ and I have very little lol
  21. :o there are cheap XF's out there????
  22. There's a white S Type 2.5 sport knocking around the Hanley area in Stoke. Seen it a couple of times now, looks absolutely lovely when its clean. (Only seen the once clean).
