  1. I have a name for my car its the !Removed! thing I never get to drive because we have just moved house and I am now fitting 14 internal doors that wont fit properly and that's before the 2 extensions start !!!!!!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh (is that too long a name perhaps I should shorten it before I hang myself)
  2. can I send you some clean underwear??
  3. I paid 5 grand for my xjs cabriolet nuff said
  4. as long as you stroll around ikea with a huge grin on your face it will all be worthwhile remember it is not a mid life crisis IT IS YOU COMING TO YOUR SENSES!!!!!!!!!!! many happy miles eddie
  5. when you get to middle age and above every waking moment is about " the kids " or "the grandchildren", giving your money away to them and thinking about everyone but yourself. but there comes a time when your tired, put upon brain says I WANT SOMETHING FOR ME AND NO-ONE ELSE AND IF THEY DONT LIKE IT THEY CAN GO FORTH AND MULTIPLY. for gods sake don't let my wife see this eddie
  6. well done since my obviously stupid purchase (my wifes words), I have lost three and a half stone in weight and if I say so myself look a right sort. I pulled into my local farm shop to spend all my money on not very much, and on my exit I nearly an over two young ladies that were drooling over my jag as I was pulling out of the parking space. unfortunately, by the way they were dressed it was obvious that they "batted for the other team" so to speak. the fact that after seeing them I stalled it doesn't help but I put a smile on their faces, so I will put that in the "plus" bank. I sincerely hope that you will have many experiences like that in your jag regardless of your age and whether it takes you a half hour to get in and out of your new baby may it put new lead in your pencil eddie
  7. whats an audi??/
  8. steam in mate. you only regret what you don't do. spent a lot of time looking at wheeler dealers and ebay classic cars dreaming of the many motors I would like to have and then I found an xjsc that was in reasonable condition . I am 55 and six foot two and only just fit in it but its great. unfortunately my wife Is not of this opinion and thinks im an old twit.as in all matters she is obviously right but im sitting in my kitchen right now looking out the window at about ten yards of red gorgeousness that im going to thrash the nuts off when I can be bothered to have a shower and get dressed. fill your boots eddie
  9. from London . now in bury st Edmunds. under my car!!
  10. a classic is in the eye of the beholder. If you think it is one, then it is.Ive seen some strange cars at shows being exhibited, the owners clearly love them.
  11. hope so im just at the start of throwing all of the kids inheritance at it. My darling wife thinks im a pathetic old fool, or that was the sign language interpretation as she hasn't spoken to me for a week, which funnily enough coincides with me buying the jag, strange that.
  12. the idle is rich and uneven on my new (old ) ragtop and the gearstick is sloppy in gear is it much of a job???
