  1. Hi Andrew Iv'e not had this problem on my X Type but I did on a car a few years back and so I think you have a really bad vacuum leak on you brake booster so when you apply your brake the leak changes the engine mixture stopping it.??? Get someone to check the booster while you press the brake.??? Frank
  2. Hello Geoffrey and welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club. You have a really nice looking SType and I like your choice of wheel they suit it very well. Frank
  3. Hi Karl Just a thought-- I'm not sure with the XK but with the SType there's a rubber hose between the filler pipe and the tank + a filter at the tank end so if I was you I would do a check on that end ???? The inside of the rubber pipe could be breaking up.??? Its got to be a blockage because its a back preasure that switch's the fuel pump off.??? Best of Luck. Frank

I know yours is a S Type but i should think its simular.??? Frank
  9. Hi Paul Good thinking and well worth a try keep us informed as it sounds good. Frank
  10. Hi Paul Now this needs thinking about ---Can side lazer markers be fitted to front corners to tell when too close ???? ---Or can a sensor be fitted some how on the garage walls so a red light comes on --on the wall that you are too close to.????? Think.?? Think.?? Frank
  11. Hi Nick I had a very simular fault and changed sensors and a wheel bearing and I still had the fault on and off.?? In the end it was found to be the short set of wires under the o/s wing that goes from the sensor to a joiner through the inner wing £4 something on Ebay so if I was you I would change both fronts and see.???? Frank

  20. Hi Andy --You say its on the easy bank so if it was you I would put the old plugs back in and if it runs OK again it would mean that one of your new plugs is breaking down under load [ It does happen at times ??? ]--you can then change them one at a time to find the bad one and get it exchanged. All the best. Frank

It acts as a splice header to avoid having numerous splices in the harness. There could be a wire off or corrosion of some sort best to have a look .?? Well worth a try all the best.???
