  1. Joe, I agree, it is a bit aggressive, but as much as I love this car, it is my every day car. I would never use a similar approach on my 1965 Jaguar E-type 4.2 coupe (which I have restored 100% myself), or my 1979 XJS V12 coupe, or my1988 Jaguar XJS V12 convertible. or my 1965 Ford Anglia (wife's 50 years present) Cheers Terje

Hi The xenon bulb is hidden ridiculosely deep into a totally uneccesary «tube» which ends so close to the cross member that it prevents you from getting your hand or fingers In to the electronic or maybe the high voltage device that sits on top of the bulb itself. I also think it is ridiculosely too much work to dismantle the whole bumper just to change a bulb. So, I decided to cut the «tube» open to get acsess to the bulb. Worked perfect. You have to carefully twist the electronic devise counter clockwise to get it off the bulb. Take special care with a separate earth wire. As far as I remember the bulb itself is fixed simply with som clips. As the tube’s circular end now was destroid by my cutting, I sealed the bulb wit some tape. I will do the same when the right bulb dies. Regards Terje Stendal, Norway
  3. Yes, from yesterday my RH HID (d2s) xenon headlight bulb is not working and I cannot see how to replace it. Does anybody know ?
  4. Hi again. The bumper chrom is replaced and was pretty easy. You just have to be very careful not to cut in to the bumper itself. When splitted, you bend one of the half parts out and carefully use a small screwdriver to press the chrome clip out. The new chrome parts are a simply pushed on to the bumper. Regards Terje Stendal
  5. Hi there I just received 2 crome finishers from uk for my 2003 S-type 3.0, front right and rear right. It shows that they both have 8 clips each, 4 along the top edge and 4 along the bottom edge.. I dont want to try to bend them out of the bumper with a screwdriver or try tu saw the clips off with an iron saw blade as one suggest on the net. I also do not want to remove the whole bumper !! There is plenty of room between the clip rows. I intend to carefully split the trim along the middle from front to rear end with a cutter machine or a Dremel cutter. They are waste anyway ! The 2 halves will then be alot more moveable and easier to pull off. If the clip brakes I may still be able to pull it out or I may simply push it into the bumper where it can rest in peace.
