  1. Enough said Peter and well noted.
  2. I would upgrade today Joe to an F Type however, my Bank Manager wouldn't agree with the idea
  3. Joe, with all due respect, you sound like a dealer and a Arthur Daly version at that.
  4. Lucky you did't park the car in Aberavon especially within the Sandfields area. There would not have been a car to awake to or at least no wheels :-)
  5. Drove my brothers 3.0ltr version wow. Price tag a little hefty though, I believe he paid 60,000
  6. I towed a caravan for many years when our children were young for varying reasons. We wished to travel abroad and costs of flying the family during school holidays were beyond us. We purchased a caravan and had our main holidays in the South of France or even towing into Spain and using the van most weekends on the Welsh Coastal Resorts (Tenby, Pembroke and the like).
  7. Funny enough Peter a mate of mine bought a white Rolls Royce, his wife had a wedding shop and business and they rented the car out for weddings. One weekend living in Merthyr Tydfil we decided to take the Roller up to Twickers to watch England v Wales. We had some funny looks in Twickenham car park when we climbed out in our scruffy Levi's and T'shirts pulled a picnic basket out of the boot which included a bottle of champers
  8. Hi Andrew, welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club. Very friendly bunch on here therefore, any queries questions etc just post them.
  9. Not so many of us on here from South Wales although I would be happy to participate in such an event especially in the Bank Holidays with Tenby, Saundersfoot etc not so far away. We often done an overnight camp out like such whilst I was a member of the Round Table.
  10. If anything can be called racist then here is the perfect story and a prosecution should be brought against the store.

  11. I have needed the laptop for work for many years Jimmy that is the reason behind me expecting everyone too have one. I do have one problem though we have just switched to Apple Mac and the difference between the operating system and that of Windows confuses me somewhat.
  12. Hi Joe, having purchased my XKR late Autumn last year I cannot have expected to attend club meetings due to the winter months. I will look forward and hope the will be meetings this coming summer. I have owned Mercedes prior to the Jaguar to include the SL500, SL55, SLK32 which of course are AMG models and still have a CLK270 Cdi which I use for work. With all due respect I do tend to disagree with you somewhat with regard to the Jaguar F Type, my brother bought the 3.0 ltr version a couple of months ago sand having driven it myself I found it to be fabulous and if was not the hard top version I would be well envious. Hoping to meet up Joe even though we have hell of a gap between us.
  13. Yes Jimmy, you would require a laptop forgive me, I take it for granted that all and everyone has such a piece of equipment to hand simply because, I cannot remember how far back it was that didn't have one.
  14. You can download the OBD software for free and purchase the lead from Amazon or the likes of. I've cleaned many a fault code over the years with my free software
  15. Its only a 16 pin plug, standard in most vehicles now. I've used the same lead (16 pin) to USB on a Voltswagon, my old AMG and I have plugged the XKR in
  16. If they are giving you a quotation then I cannot see why not. It sounds as if they must be confident Jimmy and at least you can say, "Listen mate that's not right, I will collect the car when you put it right and pay you the price quoted at the same time".
  17. Done the same with Round Table logo
  18. Hi Jimmy, I know this answer has come from a Ford forum but then they are basically the same cars; http://www.talkford.com/community/topic/98233-fault-code-p0251-injection-pump-fuel-metering-control-a/
  19. Check this out Kevin; http://www.jaguarforum.com/showthread.php?t=18609
  20. Just a tip from an electrical engineer, 75% of electrical faults on cars will be down to earthing.
  21. What would be the offset changing from 20" to 18" on a XKR? I detest the BBS wheels and the method of checking tyre pressures.
  22. I have a cover which is supposed to be designed for the XKR, mine is a 2002 convertible and the cover has never come out of the boot due to the fact I have a large garage. PM if interested
  23. Not been good for me chaps and still suffering somewhat following an hole being cut int my lung but it won't beat me
  24. Have not been around the forum for some time, was taken into intensive care 2nd Jan until moved to a ward last Friday which had limited internet. Got out of hospital yesterday, still with an hole in my neck and limited movement after lying in a bed for 6 and a half weeks. Glad to be back but don't want to use the XKR with all the salt on the road so will use the CLK until weather improves, trickle charger fitted today.
  25. Christmas Dinner? Don't know I'm stuffed after the cooked breakfast. Have a good day all
