  1. Hi James and a warm welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. Interesting to hear you are working for Jaguar, what exactly do you do? Occasionally our members meet up in Brighton shouldn't think it be to far from you being based in Kent. I am down in your County quite often with my daughter living in Bromley and my head office being in Swanley
  2. My XKR is 2002, 4.2 ltr V8 supercharged with 52,000 on the clock along with a decent service history. Light Blue Metalic without any scratches or blemishes lives in a garage. PM me if interested
  3. Hello Ken from Kenny, A warm welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB, enjoy the ride it's going to be a little different the the old Land Rover
  4. What are you looking for Tom? i.e. age, colour, mileage etc etc The reason why I am asking is that I am considering purchasing the newer F-Type
  5. Matter of choice Paul like you have stated you either like them or loathe them. I personnally would not mount 1 on the XKR however, I would give it some consideration on your model which reminds me of the old mk2 Jaguar that I was brought up with as a kid and loved them
  6. Hi James and a warm welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. You have got to get that motor on some nice roads to enjoy the most of it. I live on the A4059 which Richard Hammond used on Top Gear when he was testing cars for the show. Seen him once when I owned a SL55 AMG up on the Beacons, he flew past me in a orange Lambo but seen him later in a large lay-by with where he and his crew were having a tea/coffee. Enjoy the car and the club mate
  7. Hi Anthony and a warm welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. Sounds as if you are happy with the new car which is obviously in a different league to the ST Focus even if it was the ST model. Enjoy the car to its full and membership to the forum.
  8. I must have misread your post then Brian, my apologies
  9. Hi Brian, I personally would have been suspicious of the brake discs having been damaged, I may be wrong but that error of doubt would have lent me to a second opinion. I would also change both tyres on a axle to such an event even though there was nothing wrong with the other although I would insist on keeping it for spare if the rear were the same. I do suspect the DSC light issue would be down to the garage having taken the discs off to replace. One thing I would have done for sure is request the so called damaged discs that were replaced to obtain an expert opinion with the likes of the RAC/AA etc. If they then found them to be OK then I would refer the matter to the garage who undertook the work and request compensation, if they would not oblige then I would be taking the matter to firstly Trading Standards then the County Court for damages.
  10. Yes Jimmy, its the module, good luck in finding a replacement
  11. Not long now David, good Weather, take it for a spin and enjoy
  12. I detested my BBS wheels and changed them not long after buying my car. I also downsized from 20" to 18" to achieve a softer ride. I changed them to a Coventry Hortnet wheel which they claim is designet for a Jaguar. http://www.1010tires.com/Wheels/Coventry/Hornet/Painted/Hyper+Silver Where in Pembrokeshire John? I'm on the Brecon Beacons National Park
  13. Rather than believing it is an earth problem Roger and welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB I would lean more so to a direct short from the information you have supplied. I would check the continuity if you have a meter between the live and the light clusters earthing arrangement.
  14. Hi Andrew, a warm welcome to the JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. There is some useful information stored within the members knowledge/experience libary. I hope its not needed for your forthcoming MOT which reminds me, mine is due next month, better organise it.
  15. Hi Steve, and a warm welcome to the JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. Was that a main dealers price? supply and fit?
  16. Welcome to the JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB Mark, I'm sure there will be members who can assist you
  17. Hi John and a warm welcome to the JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. Use that sport button carefully, don't want to collect the points on your licence
  18. Hi Andrew and a warm welcome from the JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. Sounds like you've bought yourself a tidy motor there buddy?
  19. Call me a tight old git Russ but I don't wish to spend £50 to have a monthly paper posted through my mail box, somewhere someone is obviously making money. I can get all the answers I need within this forum and my old friend GOOGLE. Speak as you find and if you are enjoying such memberships please continue, they are no enemy only enthusiasts like us lot
  20. Y Croeso Gary or if I am forced to express my self in the English Language you're welcome
  21. Hi Phillip, for the very same reasoning I changed the BBS wheels on my XKR. They must be the worse wheels I've ever had on a car and pathetic. I changed to Coventry with the polished rim and stepped down from a 20" rim to an 18". Obviously the tyre size had to be recalculated but I achieved much more comfort with the ride and the handling don't seem to be affected at all.
  22. Hi Gary and a warm welcome to the JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. Peter has already expressed there are many S - Type owners on here whom would offer advice if or when needed.
  23. Monotonous jobs, pay someone to do them ha ha
  24. Hi Peter and welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. As Peter has expressed you have carried out the normal checks to such issues however, a multimeter will not assist you here. You could pull a plug out to establish a spark by playing it's lead back on, hold it with an insulated pliers just short of the block and get someone to turn the Carr over whilst you watch for the spark. If no spark then I would suggest a local auto technician.
  25. I'm going with the terminology "SEALED BATTERY" therefore, why would such need venting?
