Clean bill of health from dealers (new wheel and replaced scraped bumper) - collect week today. First trip will be to a wheel alignment emporium as per Kenny's post :)

Picking up an XJ 5.0 V8 soon. Its the rear wheel drive version and i am thinking of popping some winter tyres on before i collect as I live in Pennines. Any thoughts folks?

Thanks Kenny. Its a main dealer (increasing my confidence) and they have said they wont release the car if they have a sniff of anything long term. And yes I got a better discount!!!!! Find out tomorrow as to whether its still a goer.

174! I don't think I will try that on the new managed motorway camera fest that is the M62...

Not sure how reliable it is but found reference to 180 mph unlimited but also that car with limiter is still pulling at 165! Still I don't expect to validate this myself anytime soon!

Hi all, Signed on the dotted line today for a 2010 Jag XJ 5.0 V8 Portfolio from HA Fox in Leeds. Really pleased - only downside was that the guy who was test driving it this morning (as I was driving to buy) lost it on a dead straight road and wrote off the front left alloy and bumper! Only cosmetic and Jag dealer is putting everything right (as you would expect!) but this will delay when I can pick it up. Would appreciate any views from members who have owned one of these? Scoobs
