Hi everyone, i have just bought an 02 reg X-Type, my second such car. No manual, as seems to be the norm these days, so does anyone know why, after about 30 seconds of travel, an alarm/the horn briefly sounds for no apparent reason. It keeps scaring me to death!

Can anyone advise me why, about a minute after unlocking the car, my X-type's horn or alarm briefly sounds for no apparent reason?
