  1. Cheers, the battery went flat as I was working on the car all day (cleaning) and had the doors open and radio open - guaranteed battery flatteners Think I will replace the plugs as I have no idea of how old they are - been recommended an iCarsoft i930 fault code reader that will be bought if theres no cure to try and identify the problem
  2. Car does not get used much but just over a week ago it developed a misfire after a trouble free 200 mile trip Engine management light is on, restricted performance message flashing Car did have a drained battery prior to the journey and is showing as fully charged now after two days on a trickle charger I do not have access to a fault code reader so any suggestions - not sure on age of the plugs so I thought I would start with swapping them and I have a spare coil that I'd thought I'd try after changing each plug Could a failing battery possibly cause a misfire?
  3. Thanks - I did that but for some reasomn the code states the colour is Aspen Green, on contacting Jaguar I had it confirmed that its Slate Grey
  4. Hi Luke, I'm going to Sheffield next Tuesday to collect a Clio 182 - would it be possible to pick up the wheels once I have collected the car
  5. Hi Luke I'm hoping to get the time next week to collect the wheels somewhere / somehow - is there one day that suits you best? Andy
  6. Thanks for all the responses, I'm in Belgium this week and wanted some touch up paint waiting for me at the weekend, phoned a paint company, gave them my registration numer and they will source the correct code for me and mix it - definitely not green -)
  7. Want to get some touch up paint for my newly bought S Type R, the code on the sticker in the passenger door opening states HGP which I understand is Aspen Green Unless my eyes deceive me, my car is metallic grey Is Aspen Green very grey looking or can someone suggest what my paint code actually is
  8. Collected her today and every bit as pristine as it had been described to me, even running on virtually new OE Continentals. Pleasant surprises - the 'specialist' history in recent years is with Chiltern of Bovingdon who I believe are well respected and the mileage quoted in the advert (89,000) was incorrect, its actually 71,000 What I thought was a good price for the car has turned out to be an absolute bargain
  9. Hi Luke, I'm in Shropshire so will be coming over to Derby then up the M1
  10. Excellent, consider them sold
  11. Doncaster is doable for me, I'm in Germany all next week so it would have to be the week after next if that's not a problem
  12. Just checked and its a 340 mile round trip for me - if I arranged a courier would it be possible for you to bubble wrap them or stick cardboard around them - no courier will transport 'bare' alloys - happy to pay you a bit more
  13. Whereabouts are you in Lincolnshire
  14. If they are £80 then I'll take them - be rude not to
  15. Thanks Peter, did not realise until last night that there were fewer than 1300 S Type Rs ever produced for the UK, now I now why they are thin on the ground
  16. What style are they - 99% certain I will take the off your hands - presume they are S Type fitment
  17. Just thought I'd say hello from Shropshire Come from a family where my dad was involved in motorsport and worked in the motor industry most of his life. I followed suit and have been in the industry for the last 22 years. Currently work mainly with Lexus on writing new vehicle training and currently formulating Pan European minimum dealer standards Owned a varied list of cars including Dolomite Sprints, BMW 328i Sport, Golf V6 4 Motion, Alfa GTV V6, Westfield SEven, Grinnall Scorpion, Saab 9-5 Aero, Corrado G60 but next Saturday will see me picking up my first Jaguar - an S Type R My dad always dreamed of running Jaguars and when he retired he treated himself to an XJ40 which was followed by an X300, he'd be chuffed to see me following in his footsteps at the grsnd old age of 47 - wife already joking about me wanting a pipe and slippers Next Saturday cannot come soon enough but driving Lexus RC F's this week will help
  18. Hi If they are still available \I will have them
