Hi All My 1st venture on this site so fingers crossed you can help. I have a 2004 S type 2.7 diesel and the restricted performance message and amber engine light has come on. This reduces the acceleration down to low revs and therefore could be dangerous. If i turn the ignition on and of a few times the message goes away but amber light stays on. It will then drive as normal for a while and then do it again. Been to jag specialist who did a code check and he recons its one of the turbos and want to replace at a cost including labour of £1500 !!! I read that this isn't always necessary and it could be something cheap and easy to rectify. The car had been standing for a couple of months without use but just sailed through an MOT. Hope you can help as i don't have £1500 !!! Cheers Steve
