Can anybody tell me if the backrests on the electrically heated front seats should be heated? The cushion on my seats works fine but I am not sure that the backrests work. Maybe I am wearing too thick a coat! Thanks in advance for any help.

For anybody following this post, I created a new folder in the picture gallery showing where these things are fitted in my boot. I haven't yet figured out how to add a picture to a post so that's my next challenge!

I have 2 in my boot, one on either side. They appear to be a damper for when you close the boot - I will take a picture tomorrow and upload it. I don't think the fact that it has fallen off will be too sinister, and they look easy to refit (I think from memory that they clip onto the boot lid arm).

Hi everyone. I am just about to pick up my first Jag, a 2008 (57) pre-facelift 2.2D Sovereign. I was wondering if anybody could give me ideas on what I should be weary of or look deeper at when picking up the car. I was hoping for a later, post-facelift model in the hope that any gremlins might have been ironed out, but they were all outside of my price range or had too high mileage. As I haven't yet parted with most of the money, any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Mac.
