hi bill sorry to hear of your problem and only to glad you have an xf. I am new to forums. but in spare time log on. have checked out other forums much busier than this one but not as friendly (I found) but this forum seems full of the older models & owners. I feel that I have to recruit newer model owners to bring newer blood into it as it will die in a couple of years without them, you can only flog an old horse for so long lol but hope you get to the bottom of your problem joe

no Richard but had an a5 3litre sline before the xj nice car feel the jag is better my opinion. but looked at the a7 before I opted for the jag just wanted a change away from audi and bm but very good one mate 4 wheel drive ect

poor acting they play for the camera and if you belive that they sleep in the cars or in a tent wen on location to Australia ect then see your doctor. they even have one off them with them when on location plus loads of plush trailers and staff as ive said before prima donnas

sorry to hear that pete. regarding the emissions thou. even wen on the motorway ect you can tell the car in front is diesel wen they change gear black smoke from tail pipes. I have a diesel xj most cars I have had wer diesel next will be petrol sports job. but their are big plans ahead for diesel cars. france has said that diesel cars will be banned from paris from 2018. and their is talk of putting diesel up in price&higher taxes road tax on them. in ten years there will be no diesel cars ect on the roads. a new petrol car now a days gets 40-50mli to the gallon but no cancergenic fumes

peter I am nearly half your age, I know the s-type was a good car but I am younger, not in to dated or older cars I know the s-type was a good car in its time,. but I like the more modern looking cars .and jaguar are facing the future and the completion face on. and have some great cars now. I recon in 3-4 years from now ther will be lots more jaguars on the streets as the geri lot bu at your age now point in changing now if your happy then keep it

jaguar are now giving a 2 year warranty on approved used cars there has never been a better time to buy a new car gents with peace of mind. so come on gents treat yourselfs. you cant take it with you joe

you tube provides a wealth of info on cars alan with video so try replacing anti-roll bushes on an jaguar xk8 see what it throws up. good luck joe

Robert hi. the xk can suffer from issues from re-con system. owners reporting wet glove boxes&foot wells. but I would tend to get it re-gassed then see what happens. joe
