  1. There's a good video of it on Youtube. You need to keep the fluid temperature at a certain level.
  2. You'll receive an e-mail from WeTransfer.com with a link to download these two documents. It's perfectly safe to do so and should take only a few seconds 🙂
  3. Ooops. Silly me. In my rush I picked up the wrong adaptor. I'll get the right one this weekend. The loom you mention isn't routinely available and will probably cost a fortune if you find one. Can you wait until the weekend?
  4. I need to find somewhere else to host them.
  5. Kevin, I've modified your post above as it isn't a good idea to give your name and address on a public forum. I've made a note of it and hope to have your terminator on it's way this weekend
  6. That does appear to be a fibre optic terminator but not for D2B. I'll sort one out for you. Probably over the weekend. It's not a homemade job as such 🙂 All genuine Jaguar kit. Denis and I have so much D2B cabling in a big box that I can probably find one as required because we tend to use them a lot when diagnosing D2B faults but if not I'll modify a spare cable to suit. Please send me your full name and address by PM 🙂
  7. It's something you might find at a breakers yard Kevin. It's just a standard D2B connector with the two terminals linked together by a short length of fibre optic cable. I prefer to make them as and when I need them. Can let you have one if you wish.
  8. You can either fit a terminator loop on the D2B cable where the CDC was fitted or you can reduce the number of links on the cable. Easiest option is to plug in the terminator loop unless you're familiar with modifiying D2B cables, plus it will always be there if you wish to add another D2B device. All modules on the D2B network are in series and the loop must be closed. Once you have done either of these, all your audio will be back. Alternatively Denis (The Jag Den) can provide a replacement CDC at considerably better price than breakers yards.
  9. Just thought I'd stick a few photos up while she is reasonably clean 🙂
  10. Don't forget to ask your insurers chaps 🙂
  11. Jaguar Training Command List.docx Jaguar Voice Commands.docx
  12. I'd also add my endorsement of the LR2 Saves a lot of time rather than setting up the SDD / IDS. Very useful test equipment
  13. Roughly £100 all in from British Diagnostics. Be careful though - easiest thing in the world to brick your motor. Alternatively, if you're heading towads West Midlands, I'll do it for you 🙂
  14. Might be an ABS sensor. More likely to be brake servo. Prevalent fault with the later S-Types, Is it a diesel?
  15. I've never yet seen an S-Type that does.
  16. You need a diagnostic session with the Jaguar SDD / IDS software.
  17. I had what is called the "Red" remap Steve. No attempt to economise, just purely about performance. Emissions didn't change noticeably and fuel consumption was marginally better. Sport button does as it always does, merely extending the gearchange rev point. Did you find a replacement amp?
  18. Yes. Made a great difference to my 2.7 Steve. I used DK Tuning and they modified the map in real time until I was happy with the result. That is, new map installed, drive the car, make observations and comments, map modified and downloaded to the car within minutes. Drive and comment etc. until it was precisely as I wanted it. Don't forget to let your insurers know. It didn't cost me any extra.
  19. Passenger I think
  20. Ebay or breakers yard. Takes about 20 minutes. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-S-Type-AM-FM-Radio-Aerial-Amplifier-Amp-2R83-18C847-AC-Bracket/372151801114?epid=1056950806&hash=item56a5f9d51a:g:3fIAAOSwbihaHqLT
  21. Aerial amps are notorious for failing. It's a small box in the trim by the side of your rear windscreen.
  22. I was lucky enough to buy my latest S-Type, a 3.0 V6 , with LPG already fitted. It cut my fuel bill from £120 per month on diesel on my previous car to £70 per month.. My system is made by Lovato and was installed in 2011 by Autogas 2000 and performs faultlessly.
  23. Too late now I suppose but perhaps consider asking on this forum in future? Denis has the item you refer to, in fact the switchpack and would have asked maybe £5 - 10
  24. I experienced the throttle lag with the diesel as well. At best embarrassing, at worst potentially dangerous. I had a remap and one of the parameters was to reduce or eliminate the lag and it was very successful.
  25. Exactly my experience Joe / Steve. I930 would not see the ECU. LR2 sees everything.
