  1. Do tell :D
  2. As of yet, I don't even know which parts are required Brent.
  3. Which engine Andy?
  4. I've recently had Nexen 8000 all round and they are proving to be excellent.
  5. Hmm... the tumbleweed rolls down the road
  6. It seems that you can get them a lot cheaper than the price you suggest on fleabay Andy.
  7. Ah, I see. Thanks for enlightening me Andy :)
  8. OK, call me mad if you like, but I'm now considering the possibility of fitting adaptive cruise control to The Princess. She already has the standard cruise control. Please can anybody offer any advice / pointers? Clearly, I need to do some research but I was hoping for an initial impetus from the Club :D
  9. Sorry Tony, this isn't what you want to hear, but I would walk away from that one. It might well be perfectly above board but alarm bells are ringing and, most importantly, there will be a better one along soon... there always is. Just my opinion of course.
  10. Andy, surely the inlet manifold gasket isn't a service part? In which case, I would leave well alone if the car is performing OK.
  11. Have you got a link for the auction Tony?
  12. Alternatively, the MOT was done without ever seeing the car in question. May be nothing Tony but I think you might want to be sure before committing yourself.
  13. I'd be a bit concerned that it got a new MOT with an ABS warning light Tony.
  14. Yes, thanks to Peter for taking on the whole responsibility at such short notice. I'm sorry to let people down.
  15. Thanks Stan, That's a perfect explanation :D I have some foam sealing strip which will do the job admirably.
  16. Thanks Stan. Can you explain in more detail please? :D
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34301689 Watched the first commercial take off. Flown in one. Got a (small) piece of one Was distraught when they were withdrawn. I even use it as a vehicle when lecturing aerodynamics. In my view, anybody that has even a rudimentary knowledge of aeronautical engineering and aerodynamics can't help but hold this beast in awe. I do hope it all comes true :D
  18. Has anybody noticed slightly intrusive wind noise on their S Type at speeds above 60 mph? I wouldn't have noticed it except that the rest of the car is so darned quiet Sounds as though it is coming from the driver's door area (mirror? window?) I was wondering if anybody had any ideas to silence it and whether wind deflectors might be the solution?
  19. Thanks again Steve.
  20. Thanks Steve. I already have both the PDF manual that you mention and the JTIS. All it says is "remove the TORX screws". Thanks for your help :D Maybe somebody who has done the job and overcome the problem will comment in due course. All of the screws exhibit the same problem Steve. If push comes to shove I'll drill them out and replace them with Dzus fasteners.
  21. Thanks Steve. I can't get to the back of the panel. I was wondering what the TORX screws fix into. It feels as if there is a captive nut or some such which has broken away.
  22. Had my first serious attempt to remove the front bumper this week. Stalled at the first hurdle - the TORX screws holding the lower edge of the bumper to the splashguard just seem to rotate without actually coming loose. Please can anybody advise? Thanks :D
  23. Hi Kikih - welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club :D Nice looking car. Did you put the leaper on the bonnet?
  24. Unfortunately, owing to a sudden and shocking family crisis, I will not be there tomorrow. I was really looking forward to it as well. Peter will still be at the helm though so I hope you all have a brilliant day. Maybe the first of many meets. I HATE missing out on a raffle as well
  25. Ohhh. NICE :D Pictures please?
