  1. The venue will be able to accommodate us from 10:00. That is to say, they will have the car parking and signage in place for 10:00 :)
  2. Just my experience, but I had little trouble changing my wiper blades without having to remove the arms. They are held by a hook on the wiper arm and I found that lifting the bonnet and just slightly raising the wipers off the windscreen I was able to detach the wiper blades from the arms and fit new items just as easily
  3. Well if everybody turns up on the day it'll be a sight to behold :)
  4. Yes it is.
  5. Did you check the fuse Kim?
  6. I'm in Wolverhampton Stan. Why do you ask? I'm using the aluminium cruciforms to connect the covers to the jets.
  7. The only fuse I can find would be fuse 29, a 5A fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box. That fuse, however, also has links to voice control and the Front Electronics Module. Worth an initial check though.
  8. I'd be interested to see that Thomas. Also interested to see how robust the adhesive is.
  9. Mk1 cup holder. Thanks for covering my mistake Andy :) Sorry for the misinformation.
  10. Hi Antony and welcome to the club :D The cup holder is held in purely by friction and can be simply levered out. In fact, a lot of S Type drivers leave the cup holder out as the space makes a useful cubby hole. The workshop manual is readily available. If you PM me your e-mail address I'll send you a copy. It is some 6000 pages so very comprehensive. There was never a Haynes manual for the S Type. I can also send you a copy of the driver's sat nav handbook as well, although, from what you describe it sounds like your sat nav disk may well be goosed. As far as your engine problem, being a diesel driver I cannot comment but I'm sure somebody will in due course..
  11. I've decided that, much as I like to look of the leaper on the S Type bonnet, it would be something which I couldn't step back from if I went ahead so will leave the bonnet as is (for now at least).
  12. Hmm... Still undecided
  13. Thanks Peter :)
  14. Where did you get that badge Peter?
  15. I'm asking for opinions here chaps please :) Post face-lift S Type (MY06) SWMBO has asked why we haven't got a leaper on the bonnet. Got me to wondering whether it would look right on the post face-lift bonnet. I've been assured they are legal so it comes down to a matter of aesthetics. Like them?... or loathe them? Opinions please :)
  16. I'm sure I paid less than £30 for mine?
  17. I'm just going to have to hope for the best Ron. It certainly will not be a stopper :)
  18. Deathly silence ;)
  19. OK Dus. Pleased it is sorted. I'm a bit concerned that a tyre inflator should draw more than 10 amps so if it happens again, might be worth thinking about the pump you are using?
  20. It's getting close to the point where my headlamp washers are going to be fitted. I was wondering whether, on the post face-lift cars, the bumper has the cutting template on the back for the washer cut outs? Has anybody had their bumper off recently and can let me know please?
  21. Numberplates :) That's a good idea :)
  22. I know you have speed locking enabled Russ. The given instructions suggest that the operation either enables or disables. However, I tested the instructions given above on my car and they didn't work. It'll be a trip to the dealer or an indie, or somebody on the forum who has the appropriate kit. If you're going to be at Gaydon on the 19th September, I'm sure it can be disabled then ;) I'd certainly be tempted to remove the driver's door panel ( It takes only a few minutes) and then fix the underlying problem. Watch the mechanism (as far as it is visible) while carrying out the operations Frank mentioned to gain an insight as to where the WD40 should be directed before giving it a good spray. I believe Haydn's problem is the same.
  23. I don't know your driving style Thomas but it is well worth giving the diesel regular runs in excess of 55 mph for a while to keep the dreaded DPF fail at bay :) Pleased to hear that the light has gone out though.
  24. Not I. I bought mine the first week I had my S Type :) It was one of these:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAISTO-1-18-31865-JAGUAR-S-TYPE-1999-METALLIC-GOLD-DIECAST-MODEL-CAR-/291436461092?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43daf77c24 But in silver.
  25. OK. Not every car had one. Do the sensors buzz?
