  1. Reported this morning at 10:00 that I'd misplaced one of my keys. Not immobilised because I have the second key. Even so, a brand new one will be programmed for me tomorrow morning at my home. No excess, no charge. That's what I call service 🙂
  2. Good point Paul 🙂
  3. I really can't make up my mind. 2013 Black XF-S. I'm putting my own plates on. Rear plate? Rectangle or smiley? Opinions would be helpful Thanks
  4. I should look on local ebay if I were you Graeme. Otherwise, UK ebay suppliers who will ship to you. The module, microphone and Fakra aerial should total less than £100, whatever that is in dollars. I'd also fit the voice module at the same time which actually makes the installation easier.
  5. Noco Genius or CTek are ideal for your situation. I have used both and can't see that there is any real difference between them. 5 amp versions are perfectly adequate but 10 amp versions do the job faster.
  6. Thanks Darren.
  7. She is an S model. Do people think she needs the "S" badge on the grille please?
  8. I bought these to fit on my XF but my new XF doesn't need them. These are the Chinese versions which fit into the bumper. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-White-LED-DRL-Driving-Daytime-Running-Day-Fog-Lamp-For-Jaguar-XF-2008-2010/173673251714?fits=Car+Make%3AJaguar|Model%3AXF&hash=item286fbb8382:g:mxIAAOSwVEFcBTKI Never been fitted. £100 delivered.
  9. SDD works fine on your new XF 🙂 Jaguar Voice, for example, a ridiculously expensive option when new, can be achieved with three clicks of the mouse and NO extra hardware required Dave. Pleased to hear your car is back to normal.
  10. The V6 is going to be replaced soon and I was thinking about the XFR. Would like to hear people's experiences with the beast please. Anything specific to look out for? Reliability? Thank you
  11. Thanks Dave. I appreciate your understanding 🙂
  12. Sorry Dave, but if you're diving into SDD and coming up with errors I can't get involved any further because you CAN brick your car with SDD. I hope you get the fault cleared. I'm not having a pop at you here it's just that I can't be sure what has been done now and I could make it worse.
  13. You have to go through a fault diagnosis procedure in SDD. It will then allow you the option of resetting the module.
  14. If you have the SDD both can be done at the same time
  15. You'll need SDD to configure the car. Also beware of SRS warning light as occupancy sensors will need matching.
  16. I think it's one of the options in the security section of the touchscreen.
  17. Normally I use SDD for most things but it can be a pain in the rear setting up and so, for more routine stuff, I've just acquired an ICarSoft LR V3.0 Does anybody know what the differences are between that and the V2.0 model please?
  18. Done it once or twice but it's a pain in the !Removed! so wouldn't want to take it on again.
  19. My XF (X250) is having the boot to body cable loom blues so I can't open the boot electronically. I can't use the mechanical key either as the boot lid has been replaced without changing the mechanical lock barrel SO... is there any way to get into the boot without causing damage please?
  20. Thank you Ian 🙂
  21. Looks great Joe
  22. Bluetooth pairing code 1313.
  23. I did all of those retrofits and more on the S-Types. Let me know if I can help. I also use the Jaguar diagnostics and can set it up (properly) on a laptop if you decide to go that way. What was your username on 75 zt club? I
  24. Hello Chris. Which R75 forum did you frequent? Have fun with the S-Type. Lots of easy retrofits
  25. OK Dean, using the modules, locate the connectors in the luggage area loom. You will find that the voice module will not be fully populated. Install the modules where required on the Kaiser panel. This is the large sliver coloured plate which is bolted to the side if the luggage panel. I'll see if I can find some helpful pictures. Disconnect the D2B connector from the NAV unit and plug it into the extra portion of D2B cable. Connect D2B to each module, there is no specific order. Mount the CDC in the rack and make sure each module has a power cable and D2B attached. Connect the aerial to the bluetooth module and locate the aerial at waist level in the trim so it can't be seen. That should be you ready to go 🙂 I've just googled "X-type voice" and "X-type bluetooth" and there are loads of pictures you'll find useful. PM me your e-mail address and I'll see if I can find some detailed instructions.
