    MPG

My indicated fuel consumption hovers around the 26 MPG mark and I always fill the tank to the brim at the same filling station. My own brim-to-brim calculations are within 0.1 MPG of those indicated so it seems reasonably accurate. My drive to work, of some 10 miles, is normally the longest journey I do and as the engine is so big, it never gets fully up to temperature so 26 MPG isn't unreasonable I feel.
  2. At least you have the D2B loom in place
  3. Did ahy of the connections you found look like any of these black and white connectors?
  4. Welcome to here Paul :) I hope you like the XE.
  5. Hi Stefan, Welcome to the club :) I think the loom may well be there but buried. Did you pull the nearside boot trim panel out? Was there a sliver coloured metal panel bolted to the inside of the boot behind the trim?
  6. Thanks Jim. To be fair, if there is so little enthusiasm, then I have better things to do with my life :) Not wishing to be controversial but I suspect that, going by your experience, overall inertia is going to be so high that it just isn't worth the effort. It would be a shame but there you go. Maybe time will prove me wrong :)
  7. Hmm... well, six people interested at the moment. It's a start, but if that's as many as are interested, we could have the meet at my house
  8. Hi Nick, Welcome to the club :) For a list of indys, click on this link:- http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/topic/7304-recommended-independent-garages/ If you have a good... or bad experience with CFS motors, please let us know :)
  9. I had one of my Rover 75. I was very pleased with it.
  10. This one will do for me Peter :) http://classicmemories.co.uk/jaguar/jaguar-s-type?product_id=3588
  11. Found it... and got one ordered :) I really must get round to finding a name for my car ;)
  12. My ACM took 40 minutes to install and has worked faultlessly with my iPod Classic (80GB). CDC is also still available at the flick of a switch on the ACM. Give me a shout if you want any more info :)
  13. This should help :) http://www.jimrothe.com/jaguar/acm-bluetooth/acm.html
  14. Audio connectivity module :)
  15. Hi Mark, Are you interested in a West Midlands based meet?
  16. Hopefully there will be enough response from members to make it worth looking at in detail Peter.
  17. Some years ago I bought a print of a pencil sketch of a Rover 75 which had been personalized with my registration number plate. Does anybody know if this sort of thing is available for our cars please?
  18. I was just wondering whether there would be any interest in a club meeting in the West Midlands? What sort of venue would find favour? As I said, at the moment... just wondering ;)
  19. Which suggests that there may have been an issue with your Webasto as well :(
  20. Darran, If you phone Stratstone Jaguar and give your registration number or VIN number, they will e-mail you a full list of the original spec of your car. I did this a few weeks ago and i found the information provided saved me a lot of time searching,
  21. Did you ever come across Baryl Farrow in your tribunals Peter?
  22. Maybe your Webasto is working, even when it doesn't need to. Usually this only shows up in cold weather but if you still smell fumes in the car and your exhusts are OK it would be workth pulling the Webasto fuse for a few days and seeing if the fumes stop. It's fuse 3 in the engine bay fuse box btw.
  23. Thanks anyway David :)
  24. Thank you Andy :)
  25. Thanks David, I see the parts catalogues but don't see the workshop manual?
