  1. The gurgling is the flaps resetting and is nothing to worry about. You can change them and it's not a hard job, just awkward as there up inside the dash. you can help them by periodically spooling through the vent settings.
  2. How old is your car?
  3. Pictures??
  4. That kind of info shouldn't be on an open forum.
  5. Nope. Mitsubishi says "Starion" is a contraction of "Star of Orion" — and refers to both a star and the mythical horse, Arion. Several sources attribute the name to struggles by Japanese engineers to pronounce the word stallion.[2][3] Automotive journalist Paul Niedermeyer noted that an early Japanese television commercial for the Starion closed with a logo of a stallion's head with the word "Starion" below it. The translation of the voiceover says the name refers to a star and the mythical horse, Arion.[4] The Mitsubishi Colt and Mitsubishi Eclipse featured equine names, with the Eclipse named after the champion racehorse.
  6. And thankfully not a Chrysler crossfire
  7. What you got then??
  8. My 06 diesel costs £0 per year.
  9. Chrysler crossfire?? outdated merc tech in a woeful American body. Doesn't go or handle, like most American cars One of a long line of dreadful Chrysler cars. Also, looks like a dog having a dump. I'd avoid but your money, your choice.
  10. Ive had my car since December 2014 and have gone from 92k to 109k in that time and have never had the service light/reminder come on... is my car broke??
  11. Pictures?
  12. Mine started working again the other day. Puzzling.
  13. Has anyone fitted aftermarket DRL's to their S type?? Just ordered a kit with the relay that turns them off when the headlights are turned on. 2x Car Universal Daytime Running 6 LED DRL Lights Front Fog Light Kit Driving UK LED Daytime Running Light Automatic ON/OFF Controller Module Box Relay DRL0013
  14. Is the dccv working? Does the heater blow hot when turned up to max or colder when turned back to minimum but without ac on? are all the flaps working?? Withignition on but no engine running play with the up/down vent controls, you should hear motors opening and closing vent flaps under the dash.
  15. I'm with A-plan, 48yr old LL17 postcode, 2.7d on 06, not garaged, 9yrs ncb and 3 points (sp30) no voluntary XS, £250 XS and 10k annual mileage. £295. Comp really good company to deal with too.
  16. Maybe blocking them would divert the flow to the rear vents?
  17. 105k or ten years.
  18. My powerflow boxes were made for an 04 4.2 and fitted onto my old 99 T reg and are now on my 06 diesel.
  19. Your money, your choice. How owe cheap is cheap and how far away is it? if it's a private sale I personally wouldn't touch it but if it was from a trader I'd probably give it some thought. remember there the top jaguar and usually have top bills accordingly.
  20. I used to have a skoda Octavia of 2008 vintage that had footrests for both feet.
  21. Nice write up. Im just over 2 years into jaguar ownership and feel the same way. the wife quickly came round to my way of thinking when she found my old '99 T reg one and thought it was the X type I liked i love seeing the leaper on the bonnet and the looks it gets when your out n about. plus, people let you out at junctions.
  22. Yes, although sealed for life jaguar changed it and offer the service. i read it's recommend at around 70k but as yours is well below that but 16 years down the line it'd be worth it. One note of caution though, make sure whoever does it uses the proper jaguar recommend ATF as "normal" ATF will wreck the box.
