  1. Didn't think anyone bothered with 3rd party insurance anymore.
  2. Looks nice.
  3. Purely for aesthetics. Had them left over from my 3.0 petrol and the dealer I bought my 2.7d from painted the exhaust tips black not boy racerish at all This, on the other hand is.
  4. Boy racer exhaust???
  5. Another big giveaway is the heated front screen button next to the satnav screen.
  6. I got mine from euro car parts, about £20 iirc yes joe, the spray bar is integral with the clip that attaches to the arm although I had to swap mine round as they were on the underside of the blade.
  7. You've probably jet washed water into the boot.
  8. When I had my 99 'T reg 3.0 it was nice and quiet with the standard boxes on. when I fitted the powerflow boxes it had a nice V6 rumble that you could hear when cruising around. The wife pointed out one day that she noticed the car changing up an down between 4th and 5th gears nearly all the time, something it was probably doing before but we couldn't hear it. It was a high mileage car so probably needed a gearbox service.
  9. I have a pair of sport powerflow boxes on my diesel S type and their not loud at all. only time I hear them is if the dpi regen cycle is happening then they have a nice low burble. I fitted them because I had them from my old 3.0 S type and the garage I bought my diesel from painted the tips on the old pipes black!! When I had them on my 3.0 I was amazed, not by the noise, which was impressive but by how many times it swapped between 4th & 5th!! never heard it with the old boxes!
  10. Can you stream music with it or is it just to have phone call through?
  11. Watching the flash on sky1 last night and they traveled to "earth2" which was an alternative earth set in an Art Deco 30's/modernistic time and the police cars seemed familiar. Can you spot it??
  12. I have 17in wheels on my current jag and had 16in on my old 'T reg S type and the ride in the old was noticeably softer due to the higher profile tyres.
  13. If your confident with your garage carrying out the work for you at a reasonable cost then go for it every time imho. If your not confident or don't know what your looking for then it can save you loads in the long run.
  14. If there the bonnet mounted ones then they're the same as the ones fitted to the Mgf/tf and a popular mod is to fit those from a Renault megane.
  15. No sunroof fitted. Could blocked drain holes in the drivers door cause it?
  16. The boot is as dry as a bone. itd have to be noticeably full to leak into the cabin.
  17. New house has a slight slope on the drive and the past couple of days when we've had heavy rain I've had a small puddle of water in my drivers side footwell. Previous driveway was dead level so probably not noticed it before. Any ideas where it'd be getting in?? Its not coolant but plain old rain water!!
  18. first of all welcome. Do a YouTube search for jaguar s type spark plug removal, there's a good vid on there showing how to do it. You will need the inlet gaskets, 6 in all as your disturbing them . The rocker cover will be dead easy, just a few bolts to undo then a straight swap. good luck.
  19. Don't discount a repaired wheel as alloy welding is an art and will be done professionally. If it's a spare your after any style of wheel should do as you'll be reminded to get the proper wheel repaired so you don't forget and get stranded with a flat spare!!
  20. If you like "80's gold" or local rock radio then dab's for you!! we had dab in the missus's vauxhall mokka but never used it.
  21. Morning Paul.

is there any chance you could share with me a wiring diagram for the towbar electrics you recently fitted?

    My email address is andythetyreman@me.com.

    Thanks in advance.

    Andy.

      Hi Andy,

Happy to help if I can. The wiring is as per instructions provided with the required module. The instructions are somewhat vague in places so I'll add my own additional interpretation in addition to scanning in the document for you.

I should be able to e-mail you later today.

      Paul
