  2. Hi guys. Low keyfob battery warning appeared on my dash today . changed the battery in the fob.does the warning automatically go out or do you have to do it manually. Any ideas . cheers nigel.
  3. Hi tom welcome to the club. Is it 1000 to 1200 or 10000 to 12000 you have to spend. If it is 1200 you will get one . But watch out for the dreaded rust. Especially rear lower quarter panels and behind the rear bumper.make sure all electrics work. Also water leaks under front manifold between the two heads.if your low water low warning light come on after a few days check that area first. It's hard to see but there is a little rubber pipe that perishes. Doesn't cost much.but can be a pig to do. Still a great car.nigel
  4. Hi .rod have a look at you automatic choke . sensor. Might be sticking.that will make it seem as if is over fuelling until it warms up.nigel
  5. Hi nick had a few jags in my time only just joined the owners club myself. Great to have another newbie. Nigel
  6. Hi, may have found the problem, where the car isn't used very much, water builds up in the bottom of the fuel filter. As recently bought the car, don't know when it was last changed, replaced it now, seems ok. Nigel
  7. Hi, James, try spaying a little contact cleaner on the switch, where they don't get used a lot, the switches tend to stick. Worth a go.Nigel.
  8. :Hi Daniel, I have had a few jags in my time, last one being a xk8..as for modern jags go. The XF is fantastic .they still suffer from the odd electrical problem, A lot of gadgets, mines a 2008,the computer screen, and the gear select modem has had to be replaced already. If yours is a diesel. Just remember to drain the fuel filter regularly of any water, little tap under the filter, apart from that enjoy. Cheers Nigel.
  9. :DHi mike, does the door open from the outside, if yes, you will be able to get the door card off. You will not need to take the door off. If the door won't open from the inside, unscrew the door pull, and lift it off. You will be able to see if the catch is still attached. If it has come off. May find that the plastic bit that holds the rod in place may have broken.common fault on the older jags. Cheers Nigel ,
