  1. Why o why when they design them around the drawing boards just say to each other. Eg lets design changing air filter is like other cars, just snap to clips up and hey presto the air box lid comes off. Oh no lets design it so you have to take slam panel off then disconnect all the air intake pipe. Crazy. And as you say Harv lets design it so you have to take wiper arm of to change the wiper blade!!! Just what are thesePeople getting paid for.
  2. Cheers. The bolt is flimsy with it being long and thin, I've sprayed from top of bolt and underneath car still no use, maybe I'll have to cut the bolt.
  3. Trying get battery out, stupid long bolt going through bottom of floor so extremely exposed to the elements resulting in rusting and fusing so can't get out. To change air filter is a bit of mission compared to all other cars I've had. Personally think jaguar are not as good as made out in design and quality sorry guys but that's my opinion.
  4. It's a jaguar battery that's on, don't know how old it is? Just tried to take battery out but the bolt that is vertical at left side of battery won't seem to unscrew don't want to force it, also read when battery disconnected handbrake needs resetting, anti trap on windows need resetting. Can't find how to do in handbook, it says section 4 for handbrake and section 3 for windows but can't see anything relating to this. Anyway can't get battery out anyway
  5. tried start car and it died lazy start. All dials shot round to right then went back to normal and alarm went of and getting bleeping.

    Tyres

I've used nexen in the past and found them good and value for money.
  7. Yours must be different russ just looked at mine and can't just pop it open and left lid it only opens slightly as connected to air intake
  8. By looking at that, the actual air intake pipe is part of the air box lid the section where maf goes into. If you go on YouTube and search how to change air filter on jaguar s type. See what you think? I'm just going out now have a look at mine
  9. On you tube it's on a 2005 v6 3.0
  10. This is on petrol so don't know if any different, you have to remove slam panel cover, remove air intake pipe, disconnect maf sensor plug, then you remove air filter box. Crazy
  11. Hi all. Just been glancing on YouTube, came across how to change air filter, well what a pain in the but never seen how much you have to disassemble just to change air filter. Personally thinks it's a terrible design. What do you all think
  12. Got it on my stype, it's not up to much had it on my Lexus and it used to put a nice soft light on the drinks holder it was really good
  13. Get some prices together for what the cost would be for all things missing of description then hit them with that
  14. If they have advertised it with all that stuff then it must have it, and it must be in a good working order. Or you have the right to refuse the car. IE get your money back. Regarding those retro' you want to do don't worry Paul will get back to you shortly I'm sure as he knows his stuff on retro fitting and he is very very helpful chap. Good luck phil
  15. Hope you didn't break the speed limit Paul when you floored it
  16. Did you find your answer on this one?
  17. Hi. Anybody know part number for this cable. It's stype facelift, it's the cable that plugs into back of satnav DVD drive then routes upto parcel shelf for the antenna to plug into. Cheers phil
  18. Hi. Have you got the extension cable for satnav. It is the one for the antenna, it connects into back of DVD drive then routes to parcel shelf and connects to antenna. Cheers phil
  19. It is a good thing to have had it on my Lexus
  20. Just tried satnav without antenna connected and it's acting the same as when antenna was connected so suggests to me antenna at fault.
  21. Just ordered a antenna turning out to be expensive retro sorry I had it done now
  22. Found this join in antenna, that don't look good maybe it's this causing it? But even with this it's not showing symbol on screen saying not sufficient satellites.
  23. Andy's correct mine was doing same with a copy disc but even with Andy's original disc still saying same. I took drive apart cleaned lense no better. So I've bought a second hand drive. Copy disc now works but not fully so going try Andy's disc tomorrow fingers crossed. Instead of driving me to my destination it's driving me mad
  24. Has anybody had this one, when driving a/c is cold but when at idle just noticed it looses the cold air and blows tepid air, it's had ccv replaced a month ago
  25. Think I'll complain to national lottery that I never win the jackpot
