  1. In my boot i have a couple of ex work bosses ( they started to smell quite a while ago), helmets and gloves for work plus a big thick coat ( been playing in the new project 7 for the last few months and with no roof and the chilly weather i needed the good coat) and i also have all my car cleaning gear since British racing green should be kept clean and shiny at all times :)
  2. Hmmmm if Andrew has got an F pace already then he's doing well as it's not out yet. Having driven prototype versions at work on a number of occasions now i can tell you if you like SUV/crossover type cars then you will not be dissapointed with this when it is released.
  3. Nuneaton ( just outside Coventry).
  4. Incase any of you guys did not know, JLR recently purchased the Fen End test track/facility just outside Coventry ( Kenilworth) where you can pay to drive some of the most iconic cars ever built. Here's a link. http://www.jaguar.co.uk/about-jaguar/jaguar-heritage/heritage-driving.html
  5. Really? The only time your TC/DSC light should flash is when the car needs to apply TC/DSC to stop wheel spin/slides etc. If your TC/DSC is on then there should be no light seen, if you have it turned off then there should be a constant light on to tell you it is turned off. Only when you cause slide/wheelspin etc will the light flash to let you know that it is currently working to keep the car corrected.
  6. I have seen instances of this at work and the problem has turned out to be ABS sensor playing up. Might be worth getting your garage to check the sensor on each wheel.
  7. Got the jets i needed, thanks for the help in where to look.
  8. Is the smell diesel or is it exhaust? I can put the question to the mechs/engineers at work.
  9. Very nice, you picked the best body version with the coupe. As you know, the handling on that car is sublime, wait til you try the awd..... Unbelievable
  10. Thanks for the welcome guys. Ron,going to meets does sound good to me but the two coming up just happen to be either end of the country and i'm slap bang in the middle which makes it difficult for me as i'm very busy at the moment with work ( which can include weekends). I'm sure i'll get chance to get to some closer to home at some point, would be nice to meet some of you guys. Ken, there are tracks up and down the country that you can pay to drive on at weekends and i believe even M.I.R.A where i currently work will hire various tracks out to private individuals. Also JLR have bought the Fen End track from pro drive which is near Coventry, i'm not sure but that might even be an option to get your car on a track. Anyway, good to hear from you guys, you are proving this is a good friendly place to be. Keep the faith and keep watching the press for the new stuff coming out in the near future. I have seen it and am testing some of it now and i can tell you the future for JLR is looking very nice.
  11. Thanks Peter, i am just about to google them now, hopefully i can find what i need.
  12. Hello all, i'm Phil, i live in the midlands near Coventry and i am employed as a test driver at jaguar landrover. married for 26 years now, we have a son who has given us a grandson :) which makes me feel old now. Thanks for having me and i look forward to chatting to you guys. P.S i have already asked a question in the S type forum about getting hold of some washer jets and would really appreciate any help there.
  13. Hi all, my washer jets on my 2003 s type are buggered. One is broken and the other is blocked and no matter what we try we cannot unblock it. Does anyone know where i could pick two jets up? The jets are colour coded with the car so i either need british racing green coloured jets or i would settle for black ones. Any help here would be much appreciated.
  14. Cheers, nice to be here.
