  1. Sorry, was being flippant, I had so many problems with my Jaguar XF V6 2.7 diesel, I gave up and bought something else. Maybe best idea to take it to a Jaguar dealer to let them diagnose it with their specialist software. Costly, but they have the special computer software which should enable them to give you proper advice. These cars are not designed for DIY workers. I tried to fix things myself, but there is some software that only dealers can access. I think you should at least try the topping up with adblue first. I joined the RAC after a while and they were very helpful, but they also told me they had not got access to the specialist Jaguar diagnostic stuff. Frustrating. I hope you manage to sort it out.
  2. Buy a Mercedes S class. Far superior. :)
  3. Well, this is a long-winded article, but I just thought it was interesting to read how the X-type Jaguar came into being. Not a Ford Mondeo with a different bodyshell, as lots of people think. I don't. Mondeo was a good car anyway, just shares a few parts with the Jag, as it was a Ford company at the time. Pasts are quite cheap if you can use Mondeo parts instead of Jaguar parts. I have noticed no difference with quality.
