Capacity/Filter capacity: litres(liters). Engine oil fill quantity in case of oil change. Oil Change Intervals: Engine oil should be changed at the latest after this time or after miles/km, whichever comes first. The oil filter must be replaced every time the oil is changed, unless the car's owner's manual recommends otherwise. I have just bought a 2002 XJ8. SE exec 3.2. It has done 69k, no rust, but had to have bonnet resprayed due to peeling top coat. Just waiting to get it back from paint shop so I can drive it.

Hi Roger, I do not know much about the XF myself but found this information. When you replace smart key batterys, it takes two or three start/stop cycles for the message to clear. You should not have to do anything with the vehicle battery. Got "smart key battery low" message so spent silly money on a new coin battery only to find it still reported "low" message. Same with both keys. Changed the battery again and still got "low" message.. Decided to do the old faithful - disconnect main car battery terminal (negative only) left for 5 mins then reconnected. You will have to apply hand brake and reset one shot return on power windows but the message returned but hey presto once the car started it cleared. Remember don't shut the boot after disconnecting the battery - it won't open again as it needs battery power. There is always some gremlin or other in modern cars I find. No doubt the dealer would charge £100 + vat for this 5 min job. Regards, Julie.

Hi, I have recently bought an S type 2003 petrol. It was fine and I put it in for an MOT on Friday, passed no problem. But now heater not working. a/c not b owing cold air, ABS light on / drive a while goes off / stop drive a few miles on again? DBS light on? Now to be honest 2 weeks ago when all was working it had a 4 hour drive. Since then only may be 20 mins a week. Was on a 3 hour drive today. What do you think? battery? Kind Regards, Julie.
