Hi, Thank you. I had the work done, Air Con making noise from engine compartment and blowing cold, pump replaced and re gas. Turned out was not glow plugs - that was chap I bought it off - he said his mechanic had told him that's what it was. It was the Turbo actuator.

Hi Rick, I had this with another car not my x type. Was told it was fuel swirling about and causing a a blockage - not going In quick enough so fuel pump thinks tank is full. Some one else said it was vapour doing the same thing. I was told to try holding the nozzle at different angles - when I got it right it seemed to be ok. Was really annoying.

Oh good I m not the only one True it did the job, it got me and a Labrador here and there and it was cheap to run The C5 was quite novel and quirky.

Hi Michael, I am on 2nd Jaguar x type sovereign but want an S Type again really like the look of them. My first car a rather sad Robin Reliant -as had motor bike license- what was I thinking!, That did not last long ended up quite famous in the local paper after I sold it, as a barricade on a rather notorious estate. After my temporary insanity I improved slightly then and went through Escort, Mondeo, Renault sports, Saab then discovered the S Type. The XF beautiful looking and fast - you will have fun in that 🙂
