Mine was playing up changed battery,is yours ok?

Good Afternoon David, I have only recently got my self an x type have been without a Jag about 5 years. a fiat 500 is just not the same. And definitely not as comfortable on long journeys. Your looks stunning. I hope you and your wife enjoy driving it. My husband is a Land rover man, still trying to convert him to the enjoyment of Jaguars. Kind regards, Julie.

I have gone with Adrian Flux, seem OK, polite and knowledgeable staff. Avoid Hastings Direct, my neighbour warned me and I found out myself. I do not recommend them.

Mine too. My s type was auto. Auto is relaxing so easy to drive, but in bad weather feel more in control with a manual. Enjoy your x type🙂

one tip I had just keep on top of regular oil and filter changes and may be look at rust proofing treatment otherwise a reliable car. parts interchangeable with Ford. Just need looking after as other Diesels do. is yours a manual?

Hi There, I have just bought one, sounds like mine. Is it the very pale silvery blue? Been told good car, common fault actuator on turbo- just getting mine done. Nice to drive, comfortable. Did have S type in past - love Jags- not quite sure about F pace still- nice car-but not for me.

That's fair enough of the dealer, my mistake thought they had sold you the car. Good idea to get the service plan, takes a little worry off your mind. Glad your still happy with the car🙂

She's still a real head turner, don't let it spoil your enjoyment, it should not have happened but the dealer must put it right for you.

Oh no, that,s annoying for you. I know how you feel. My keys will not work, garage said they have been water logged,it was not the batteries as seller said. Had to buy new battery, replace air con pump and turbo actuator just on a grand to fix😒 Believe that actuator is a common fault. I could not mislead any one about problems with a car I was selling, some people have no honor. Well I will be back in Aubrey by the weekend. Hope yours is ok soon. To be honest the old Jag I had was very reliable, so hopefully both our cars will be in the future.

Hi my x type manual diesel 07, pulls fine, until you get to a slope on main road , my fiat 500 goes up no problem,then have to change drops from 70 to 50. the orange heater coil light is on, seller said it was glow plugs, any ideas please.

Hi Rod, Sorry to hear that, It's a shame. It's hard to find something decent. I saw some very poorly maintained car. One dealer, I photos and descriptions looked good. After 1.5 hours drive disappointed to find very poor paint work one side, rust, hole in bumper and huge chunks out of back alloy. it was filthy in side. Started it up sounded like bag of hammers. Asked if I wanted to drive it but I declined.🙄 One I am picking up has been looked after, can't wait😃 Julie

Hi, I was the same,Jag less, nothing compares to ta Jag. Yes everything that seemed decent was miles away. Oh I saw a few real badly cared for cars before I found one. One dealer, it looked great in pictures, but in real life it had badly scuffed paint one side, big chunks out of alloys, a large hole in bumper and filthy inside! You will soon get the paint right, I use Maguires, what do you use? Looking forward to pictures.

Hi Poppa, I was a member up until few years ago. Made huge mistake sold my S type, missed it so much. Got X type now - oh yes they are an obsession! My neighbors used to say I would wear it away polishing it. XJ gorgeous. Sure you will enjoy driving it. To me nothing compares to Jaguars - Pure elegance.

Hi, I have had S type in past but now have an X Type. Well picking it up next week. Does any one know please, if this a common fault, and cost approx to put right? I have been told its been on machine and no problem found. Car starts and runs fine. Thank you
