Well I have taken delivery of my 2006 S-Type but have a couple of questions. Can anyone tell me what the torque setting are for my 18" wheels S-Type Sport 3.0. Also the rear parking sensors keep not working I have been told it might be the control box in the boot but any other thing I should be looking at. Thanks in advance

Hi Mark, Just purchased a S-Type Sport from a independent Jag dealer after weeks of looking at dog's or overpriced rubbish, got what I wanted but as above, be patient & be prepared to travel. I had 3 to choose from at the dealers 2 diesel & one petrol, as I was not worried about fuel costs, I was told that the diesel might have filter clogging problems as I do not do many M-way miles so went for a 3L V6 otherwise I understand the diesel unit is very good.I waited for a Sport to come up as the others I looked at had horrible plastic wood dashes which is not my taste but the sport has a real metal dash lovely seats & very sexy 18" wheels. This is all just my taste I just don't like light leather & plastic wood but understand others do so I'm not knocking it. I managed to Squeeze a discounted 12mth warranty which covers everything & full MOT/Service to Jag spec so I'm all ready for the next year. I would say to you if you can just find another £500 or so it would buy you a better car or get a better deal so it might be worth waiting.

Picking up my S-Type Sport 2006 next week but I am already baffled. The car has BT as I checked it out when I went to see the car, it has the menu on the sat nav screen & the mic up by the interior light. Just noticed on the photo's that a parrot phone system is also fitted so is it likely that the previous owner just preferred the parrot system over the in built one. I understand the parrot BT system is very good. What do you think or have you fitted Parrot over the cars inbuilt BT ?.

How do you find them assuming you have the 3ltr V6. Does it drone on M-Ways ? £75 a pair is very good value isn't it.

Just close to buying my first S-Type & will be wanting to replace the two rear silencers with one that just makes the cat purr abit more but not scream. Any suggestions or pointers in the right direction, my last car had a Powerflow fitted by a great guy in Bournemouth but I understand I can get them off the shelf for this car ?. Thanks Mark
