  1. hi the touch screen video comes from the nav dvd unit in the boot left hand side i'd start there, check all the connectors, pull them out and plug them back in cheers Joe
  2. hi glad it sorted, there not the most accessible part on the car and troublesome when they play, hope you have routed the cable so it wont rub through in the future cheers Joe
  3. hi depends on the noise really, post a video up it is a diesel though and will sound like a tractor on cold morning cheers Joe
  4. hi if your retro fitting, your better off going for the later type phone/bluetooth module that a combined unit phone and bluetooth far easier than fitting the two seperate items, just the one in the boot, but you still need the mic and a aditional bluetooth antenna, but there under a fiver on ebay personally better off going with a Parrot mk9200, easier to fit, full hands free, play mp3's from sd card and also stream music from your phone, much better cheers Joe
  5. hi two bolts on top, one electrical connector, then it just slides out to the side and down make sure you disconnect the battery and reconnect, before switching the ignition on, so the EPB resets its position cheers Joe
  6. hi bluetooth is simple, with ignition on, if you search for bluetooth devices, if Jaguar comes up, it has it, if not, it don't that simple really at a guess as it has basic climate, it won't have bluetooth ans it was'nt cheap cheers Joe
  7. hi dont think that cable is available on it own so its either a used cable if some one is willing to part it, a used park brake motor and cable or new park brake motor cheers Joe
  8. hi Ive never seen a xk with one and would possible be to far back on the bonnet, to look good just googled xk and out of a few thousands pics not one has one fitted so with that in mind, I think it might devalue your car and possibly put a lot of people off when you come to sell it cheers Joe
  9. hi you need to get it plugged in and see what fault codes are there asking will just be pure guess work and will cost you a fortune replacing parts that are ok cheers Joe
  10. hi do you know the registration number,if so pm me with reg and I can tell you vin cheers joe
  11. hi Its well over due, ZF recomend 60k or 10 years, at 17 years old well worth doing did mine a few years ago, recomend using genuine zf parts and oil you can get kits off ebay which include, new pan(filter), new bolts(larger heads improved), 7 liters of zf lifeguar 6, mechatronics sleeve(prone to leaking) cheers Joe
  12. hi check all your carpets front and rear, also check boot any water leaks or damp, will cause the windows to mist up cheers Joe
  13. Hi They will fit but drivers seat wont work passenger seat are hard wired and will work with a 12v supply drivers seat is controlled via a module and controlled over canbus, so wont work cheers Joe
  14. hi you need to get it plugged in, it will tell you the fault could be something as simple as a abs sensor, or a bad connection on one if its a 2001, it will be the ford 5 speed gearbox and these are very reliable ideally you want it plugged into jaguar ids/sdd, generic code readers only read engine codes and wont talk to gearbox or abs modules cheers Joe
  15. hi the oil should meet spec WSD-M2C200-C and grade 80w90 put the spec in on ebay and you can even get the genuine ford oil cheers Joe
  16. hi p1641 is a strange one as its not listed in jaguar jtis for the S-type what code reader are you using, recommend Jaguar ids/sdd some generic code readers can give generic codes which always correct cheers Joe
  17. hi you need to get it plugged into Jaguar IDS/SDD, generic code readers only read engine fault codes, wont read abs, gearbox or many of the other modules could be something as simple as a abs sensor, but its guess work with out plugging in cheers Joe
  18. Glad you found the spring clip sometimes it best to give up and start with fresh eyes and a clear head I some time down tools and lock up, next day every seems to easier cheers Joe
  19. hi if you have a vin number or uk reg, I can tell exact what model it is from jaguar software cheers Joe
  20. hi if you cant find the original clip, its worth a try, you only give it a pull if its secure should do the job
  21. hi the clips are not available separate and hose is around £80 have another look for it, theres no need to remove them you just press it in to removed, or you can pull it about 5mm hope you find it cheers Joe
  22. hi if it has rust, just lying down and having a look underneath should give you a good idea just bang the covers, see if anything fall out if its started it will be obvious cheers Joe
  23. hi biggest problem is rust on the sills, there hidden with a plastic cover and can completely rot away irrelevant of year or mileage, so checking sills is a must, especially towards the rear awd models can have problems with drivetrain, so make sure you test drive and take to a least 70 mph also if its a auto make sure it all works ok, make sure all the keys work also use a app like vehicle smart, which will bring up all past mots, lots of mention of rust would be a bad sign also at a certain age fuel pumps fail, taking out all the injectors, so worth checking service history cheers Joe
  24. hi like in the video, put your ratchet in the square, usually easiest if your ratchet is in line with the tensioner so with the ratchet pointing straight up, push it to the left, anti clockwise, no need to touch the nut, pulley will move a least 1/2" to a 1" there will be spring tension, I use a power bar, 2 foot long, makes it easier and the tension will slacken, I would push the belt back towards the engine off the tensioner pulley then you can release the ratchet turning it to the right, clockwise, your just pushing against the belt, it would not move cheers Joe
  25. hi unfortunately a lot of breaker don't sell them any more, as there removed and sold on straight away, as they fetch good money scrap you need find someone who breaking a 4.0 privately and ask for the cats other option would be get some universal ones off ebay and get them welded in, much cheaper option cheers Joe something like this would be perfect, just need to check pipe size https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Exhaust-Catalytic-Converter-Round-400-Cell-2-51mm-Cat-Mild-steel/262581687420?epid=2135654478&hash=item3d2316947c:g:wQkAAOSwi3ta6Fk~
