  1. hi the bottom 8 lines should be live data and should alter as you rev the car p010c and p010p are not jaguar codes, I assume the generic ones by your foxwell, jaguar jtis does not list these, you would need to plug in with jaguar software cheers
  2. hi yes its ok, it meets jaguar spec, its a basic oil though last time mine was serviced by Jaguar they used Castrol edge professional 5W30 C1 in mine cheers Joe
  3. hi thats correct for most 4wd drive cars you have 3 diffs, lose any drive shaft and you lose all drive transfer case just diverts power to the rear if you want 100% power to front and rear, only way is to get the centre diff locked, easiest way it to weld it up, dont think there are any after market centre diff lock options some more serious awd cars have the ability to lock the centre diff, top of the range awd's are able to lock all 3 diffs , but it not a cheap option some cars use lsd's, limited slip differentials, which will give certain levels of power splits like 60/40 or 50/50 power splits to front and rear modern off roaders like land rovers cheat, they usually still have the centre diff lock option, but the use the abs to replace the front and rear diff lockers, by automatically electronically applying the brakes to the wheel that spins, hence giving the opposite wheel traction, cheers Joe
  4. hi its not that easy, for a start halogen and hid have different connectors, so you would have to cut and chop the wiring then you would lose manual headlight level adjustment cheers Joe
  5. hi its the the wheels, 20" and low profile tyres is more for handling a set of 18" wheels would cure it, cheers Joe
  6. hi propshaft rubber dougnuts can fail and vibrate, or even inbalance, has it had any work done on diff, prop or gearbox if prop is taken apart and not put back the exact same, it can cause vibration due to out of balance gearbox, if it in sport, it does hold on to the gears for longer, other thing the gearbox learns your driving style, so if previous owner drove it like that it will continue to do it for a while getting the gearbox adaptations cleared, will clear all old driving styles and learn your alone cheers Joe
  7. hi yes bottom one drain, side one is level, but the gearbox has to be at a exact temperature cheers Joe
  8. HI No need to flush, that's what the filter there for the oil should come out quite clean, the oil just degrades due to high temperature and age, if it come out heavily contaminated or dirty, it has other issues and a service aint going fix it Genuine parts alone are £200, it takes a few hours to do and a strict procedure for end level check when you drain, you only get about 6.5 L of fluid out and about 5 L stays in the torque converter, only way to empty that is to remove and drain I did mine a couple of years ago, it worth doing, but doing right, use the genuine parts and the genuine oil ZF Lifeguard 6, if you don't you will regret it mixing oils from different brands is bad and can make the oil go bad if mixed don't recommend flushing because flushing will disturb dirt and particle's from the filter and move them round the gearbox, which is bad, as the gearbox basically is a hydraulic system with lots of solenoids and also there's the ecu for the gearbox also submersed in the oil as well having a indy or dealer do is good as they should also check the software is up to date and they also reset the adaptations, the ecu memory and how the gearbox drives, it also learns how the drivers style, problem is it also remember faults and bad gear changes, these will be all cleared and usually makes the car drive really well again cheers joe
  9. hi cantact raistlin on here he does that retro fit cheers Joe
  10. hi go to british diagnostics you can get the diagnostic lead and software for about £100 and you can do anything jaguar can, diagnostics, fault finding and programing modules I have one, well recomended http://britishdiagnostics.co.uk/ cheers Joe

  12. hi post a pic up could be phone module or a tracker cheers Joe
  13. hi only way to know for sure is to get it plugged in really, every body's opinion will just be guess work plugging in jaguar software will give a exact fault code but usually it something like a stiff cable, a low battery or a stiff caliper, its just a electronic motor really, it tries to reach 2 positions parked and released, if it cant get there within a certain time and load resistance, then it will come up with a fault cheers Joe
  14. hi I'd get changed as soon as, as the oil level is quite critical on the autobox you can look on SNG Barratt, for part number but I'd phone with a vin, as they may be different from year to year and engine to engine there not expensive and quite straight forward to change cheers Joe
  15. hi there are no earths on the rear lights they use a permanent 12v feed to the lights and the rear body module switched the negative earth to each bulb to bring them on check the fuses, each cluster has two 12v feeds make sure you have both and as above, check there all clean and free from any corrosion 1 feed does indicator and reverse, the other feed does fog, side and brake lights, looks like you have lost one of the 12v feeds cheers Joe
  16. hi If you phone a jaguar dealer they will usually tell you the radio code or try this cheers Joe

  20. hi wow thats quite a list, a low battery can cause a lot of faults like that codes below are out of jaguar jtis a lot of these might from unplugging connectors cheers Joe
  21. hi may of had a repair in the past and the paint was damaged inside post some pics up of your new car cheers Joe
  22. hi what have you in pin 28 as thats got a brown/green wire in there might of it also popped a fuse, have you check the all cheers joe
  23. hi I changed the bulbs in my S-type R, which also has HID lights as standard bulbs are available on ebay far cheaper, I changed mine for 8k ones and they much better, I wanted the blue tint to them I got mine off ebay and they have been in nearly 3 years now and are still spot on DS3 bulbs on ebay £20 EBAY LINK also on mine to change the bulbs you have to remove the bumper, before you can remove the headlights, but all in, I did both in less than a couple of hours and thats with removing and replacing the bumper also, if the headlights are like mine, mine are self leveling and do a dance every time you switch the ignition, they go fully up then fully down then self level, on mine if you disconnect the headlight with the battery connected, the self leveling stops working and can only be reset with jaguar software, worth remembering and before any body asks they always pass mot and never had any issue with the old fuzz cheers Joe
  24. hi I've had a look on the 2002 wiring diagram and it may be different attached a copy as well x2032002en.pdf cheers Joe
