  1. hi try british car parts https://www.britishparts.co.uk/ or sng barratt https://www.sngbarratt.com/uk/#!/English/FindParts/Families both offer genuine and aftermarket, I'd go for the aftermarket there just as good and jaguar dont make there own discs any way there bought in cheers Joe
  2. HI Might be a faulty CD changer, check all the connections on the back of it All the audio is transmitted down fiber optics on the D2B network, every thing is in series and daisy chained, if you unplug one fiber optic cable you loose all the sound, also worth checking the connection on the audio amp as well as thats on the same fiber optic circuit cheers disconnecting the battery usually clears any faults Joe
  3. Hi The Hid lights is not a easy job to swap to manual adjustment on hight all the wiring is wrong and the headlight connectors are different if you can get it diagnosed, its most probably a simple fault like ballast, ignitor there quite straight forward to swap, headlight has to come off and also bumper bumper quite easy to remove, takes less than 10 mins to remove also if the headlights have been unplugged while the battery is connected, the self leveling will stop working and can only be reset with jaguar software IDS/SDD to get them working again If it were my car I'd get the hid's working, leds are easier to fit to the standard headlights, but not that easy to the hid headlights, also I dont think the led's are as reliable as the oe lights, most cheap led bulbs dont last long due to heat also if you get plugged in with jaguar ids/sdd it will tell you the faults with the lights cheers Joe
  4. hi if its like the s-type, you have to reset the brakes by disconecting the battery make sure you have the stereo code first cheers Joe
  5. hi though the key buttons will work, the key wont start the car as your car wont recognize the immobilizer transponder inside the new fob you will need to take the car somewhere to get it programmed to the car, needs software and a lead cheers Joe
  6. hi think I've seen posts before on this is there a cross bar above, can remember someone saying that they had to loosen the cross bar above to get the engine cover on easier cheers Joe
  7. Hi Yes you have to use the loading.kwi file make sure the dvd is a dual layer and you burn it at the slowest speed, it should work usually a original 2012 jaguar navigation disc will also fix it as thats got the loading.kwi file on it as well cheers joe
  8. Hi No leave it till you have a pair, for one it will be illegal and will make the car handle and stop erratic best to leave it as it is, till you have a pair also the narrower will be better in winter as well, especially if we get any snow, cheers Joe
  9. hi usually the R's have staggered larger tyres at the rear, if yours are the same all rounds, odds are there not the original wheels and are off a normal xf there's nothing to worry about, they just usually have wider rear for the extra power cheers Joe
  10. Hi I assume you mean on the climate control temp screen I'd check all the connectors on the touch display and nav unit in the boot only other time i've seen this if some one has pressed update software in the hidden menu's, if so there another procedure for that cheers Joe
  11. Hi Usually I look on autotrader and see what others go for and adjust the price, if your has lower mileage and extra's you could also type the reg in on CAZANA https://cazana.com/uk and see what value they put on it cheers Joe
  12. hi ACM are still available, but there very expensive, new £300- £400 and used one sold the other day on ebay for £260 I'd go for parrot mki9200, there quite straight forward to fit, you can stream music from your phone and use the memory card slot for music aswell, it also a reasonable hands free kit cheers Joe
  13. Hi Paul Just out of curiosity, would you have any pics of the speakers in the premium sound system, shelf speaker and door speakers are they all 6 x 9's cheers Joe
  14. HI Is this what your after cheers Joe FITTING MESH GRILL.pdf
  15. Hi Matt I looked into the K&N filter and also tried one, there next to no difference in go or performance, on my S-type R so I removed it, after doing some research they can let dirt through and the oil off the filter gets transfered to the maf, which means it needs cleaning regular or you get engine management faults here are some pics I took on my filters and the oe Jaguar does a far better job of been a air filter, there much more surface area on the OE Jaguar one cheers Joe have a look here http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html
  16. Hi and welcome The modern Jaguar's seem heavy on discs and pads, because most are automatic, your allways on the brakes new ones are not that expensive, try british car parts or sng barrat, both do genuine jaguar parts and aftermarkets parts at reasonable prices also if your thinking of keeping the car long term, I can recomend "Krown Rust treatment", well recomended, I know loads of people who have had it done, even aluminium cars, as they can corrode worse than steel cars, also krown rust treatment is guaranteed http://krown.co.uk/uk/krown_application/Rust_treatment_process cheers Joe
  17. Hi Paul cheers , I take it it there quite bright might try some cheers Joe
  18. Hi Paul what do those Halfords premium led sidelights look loke do you have any pics cheers Joe
  19. Hi Paul normal bulbs are quite straight forward usually, the led bulbs can be a nightmare, as they only just fit through the hole, so can be a pain to remove seen quite a few video with a vacuum cleaner and a small tube connected to the vacuum, trying to fish the bulb out of there headlights cheers Joe
  20. Hi I'd just claim for the screen , for just the cost of the excess if it were cracked , just phone autoglass and get it done, that what you pay insurance for cheers Joe
  21. hi looking at the car history it showed 93599 miles last mot16/6/2016 cars mot history look really good with next to no advisories its showing with no mot now, If its mot'ed it would fetch a lot more and make it more desirable to more people cazana put its value at £4087 https://cazana.com/uk/car/VK03LRX looking at what other are selling at I'd say its worth between £5000 and £5500 maybe a bit more, if its mot'ed, if its got all its history and a lot depends what condition the underside is in, if it good I usually look on ebay see what similar one fetch and adjust the price for the condition of yours cheers Joe.
  22. Hi If you have a look here there wiring and workshop manuals http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/topic/16054-some-good-jaguar-reading-info-support/ have you tested what voltage you have, also check all the battery connections, even if they seem tight, just pull them off and clean them, the battery connectors can furr up and even thought there on and tight, might not be a good connection also I would clean any earth connections off the battery to the body and any in the engine bay cheers joe
  23. Hi Depends which engine you have, earlier ones have a belt, later ones have a chain easiest way would be to ring jaguar, they would tell you and there prices are not that bad, usually fixed price would need engine code to be sure cheers Joe
  24. Hi Post some pics up It all depends on the condition and service history these are going up in price and good one fetch good money cheers Joe
