Hi Paul I'd check the wiring between the steering column and the air bag module do you use the auto setting on the steering column, could there be a break in the wiring if you have changed the airbag and clock spring, has to be wiring between clock spring and air bag module if you unplug the air bag module and remove clock spring, airbag and test the wiring between the two cheers Joe

Hi Get the bushes checked, when they go soft you can get a lot of movement which alter the car geometry at a guess, with you saying it does it under acceleration and deceleration, its going to be a rear, the drive through the rear wheels is causing the wheel to alter and its only going to be one wheel causing it to steer, if both did it, they would cancel each other out, also check the rear tie rods, these do wear and would cause the wheel to steer if there play but I'd get the bushes and ball joints checked uneven tyre wear might also be caused by this as well cheers Joe

Hi A bad terminal connection would cause it only way to no for sure is put a multimeter on it and see what current drain is on there, then you can work out how long the battery will last also if you car is going to sit for more than two weeks, I'd get a trickle charger for it, the electronics on these now days will drain a battery over a period of 2 to 3 weeks I bought a Jaguar one, but CTEK make the exact same unit for half the price cheers Joe

Hi Andy I got the loom and just used the connectors off the dvd and the touch screen and left about 2 feet of wire on them and just joined them together my test harness uses the original connector off the loom, before I had that I used the wires pushed on method this allow you to power up the screen and dvd to display item on it if you can drop on the connectors from a breaker, its easy to put them together, there's only 8 wires to connect between dvd and touch screen , then power and earth cheers Joe

Hi Its usually ok to disconnect the battery as long as ignition is off, usually no problems if there were a lot of errors, only thing I can think off, was battery was disconnected with the ignition on, causes every module to go into error/fault glad you got it sorted and hope it was not too expensive to sort cheers Joe

HI Stewart and Welcome Looks great, I like the color, not seen it before cheers Joe -
hi also before I had connectors if you use some stranded wire about 1.5mm, get a bradawl, pop a hole in the wire end, then the wire will push onto the pins quite snug cheers Joe
-
Hi I got a loom from a s-type and cut the nav loom connectors out and made a mini loom use a spare display and nav to get it running on the bench also ben wilcox on another forum has a full parts list and instructions on how to convert one link here http://www.jaguarforum.com/showthread.php?t=89210 if your handy with electronics, you should be ok cheers Joe
-
Hi Andy there's 3 plugs on the dvd, if your unsure which connector is which here some more info cheers Joe Nav Connectors.pdf
-
Hi yes it can be powered up on the bench, I've been doing it to test a video in adapter but the display will be blank, you need to connect it to the nav dvd as well, or you wont get a picture to power it up on the bench you need to connect the wire below with arrows on them red arrows are 12volts feed black arrows are earths blue arrows are a coms link ( no picture without this ) yellows are video, these are what you break into with a adapter to add reverse camera or any video device with RGBs I have one working to try video interface cheers Joe
