hi Its most likely bolt straight on, though the two gearboxes are completely different, problem is getting the new gearbox coded to the existing engine you would have to ask a jaguar indy and once you swapped it, its not going to drive till its programed to your car, so would have to be trailered to the indy garage for programing years ago you just swapped and away you went, now everthing is on a can bus type comms and every module talks to each other and are coded to each other cheers Joe

Hi don't know that much about diesels, but a friend of mine had a similar fault, his was a leaky injector, his was difficult to start, it also gave him problems with the engine oil, because the injector was leaking when it stood, it leaked into the cylinder, past the piston rings and into the engine oil, so his engine oil went up on the dipstick with out topping it up when he had his injector replaced, it started like it should and his oil problem was also cured cheers Joe

Hi if you remove the egr, you will get engine management fault light on, you have to leave the egr there, plugged in, then blank the holes also you will still get random engine management faults, as it knows its not working right. early egr were easy to remove, you pulled the egr off, blanked the holes and it was that, now they self check and engine monitors them, so they are not that easy remove there's only one way to remove it properly and that is to have it mapped out(removed in software) and then blanked best bet is to remove and clean it properly or replace with new some people recommend fuel additives, but its only short term fix, EGR's work by diverting exhaust gases back into the engine, so they get dirty, hence they stick, so additive in the fuel, never really reach the egr cheers Joe

Hi Rich I'd carbon wrap it, the Aluminium/Carbon looks nothing like carbon, looks cheap and nasty most of the panels just clip out you could get them carbon dipped that looks good only the x-type had carbon effect trim the only bit you have to cut out is the warning indicator on the passengers airbag panel I like this one, but never seen any for sale x-type carbon effect x-type carbon effect carbon film wrapped carbon wrapped carbon wrapped looks nothing like carbon or carbon dipped, hydro dipping, a lot of places are doing this now -

Hi Maf is a favorite , don't think its a yaw sensor A lot of people like me replace the standard air filter with a K&N, for better filtration and better air flow but with K&N you get a side effect of the oiled filter is, that some of that oil get carried on to the MAF sensor, so if your using a K&N filter, you need to clean the maf aswell, I do mine twice a year, just remove it, clean it by spraying the cleaning fluid on it, then leave it for 5 mins to dry and replace cheers Joe -
Hi that sounds good I had a space saver and replaced with the full size wheel, much better glad your sorted cheers Joe
-
Hi there's also a little plastic trim you have to remove as well at the bottom, on the door step, but it just unclips it should only take ten mins to change cheers Joe
-
Hi do you mean the door seal, post some pics up if its the door seal, it can be pulled off and replaced, there should be plenty on ebay cheers Joe
