What Car Wax Polish Do you Recommend
JOE-DOT-COM replied to JOE-DOT-COM's topic in Jaguar Car Care and Detailing Inside & Out
Hi All Cheers this gives me a good starting place sometimes they claim polishes and waxes as miracle polishes then when you buy them and try them, your quite disapointed so its nice to see what other people have used cheers -
Hi Craig Its hard sometimes to put prices on cars I allways look on ebay and autotrader for similar spec cars and use them as a baseline and adjust the price if yours has lesser millage and spec if you advertise it and its alot dearer than all the other cars, people might just overlook it and go onto a cheaper on if your car is really clean, good condition and lots of history, make sure you add loads of pictures, this can attract a lot of buyers attention cheers Joe

Hi Paul navtool is a interface so you can display video on the factory jag touchscreen its got hdmi and two rca video inputs on it you can flick between the two nav and video, via a switch/button so you can plug your phone into it and display on the jag touchcreen, play dvd films and there also one dedicated for reverse camera its video only so you would have to use something like fm transmitter for sound they look quite good cheers Joe

Hi Paul I have fitted a few in car pc's for audio and navigation, but nowadays your mobile phone is way faster than most tablets or pc's I use my android phone which is extremely fast and i can do it all by voice command and theres a huge selection of apps out there I fitted a Rii geartist GB01, which is a bluetooth fm transmitter, but is extremely clear and sound quality is superb, no noise or hissing basically when im in the car, my phone pairs to the car for hands free but any media sound is transfered to the paired gb01 to a fm stereo channel so i can play all my music and i use google maps or co-pilot for sat nav, with google maps you get steet view, which is great and you can use nav apps like co pilot which is great and tomtom all have live traffic and cameras my phone sits high on the dash on a custom bracket, sits just above touch screen which looks greats, sound comes out of car speakers and is all voice controlled I can even position my phone a bit higher and use apps like dash buddy which will video windscreen view as i see it just in case there a accident in front you have much more access to apps and internet with your phone I have a sony xperia z3+ and its brilliant in car, my xperia is 8x1500mhz cores, over 20 mega pixel camera, 4g, records 4k and plays 4k, has a 128gb micro sd in it, much better than most tablets and pc's eventually i will buy a navtool which i will be able to send the phone screen, through hdmi to the jaguar touch screen, was going to buy a ACM, but since using my phone with the car, its much better cheers Joe

Hi it might be worth if you know your way around a ameter to check what battery drain you have, mine went flat after about 2 weeks, when i tested it i had something draining the battery more than i would of expected turned out my car had a tracker hidden in the boot, no paper work with the service history but the tracker had a battery attached to the side of it, which was no good and causing basically a high drain on the battery once i removed the tracker and battery, now the battery last ages with no problems, but i still used the genuine jaguar trickle charger to keep it tip top cheers joe
-
HI yes no problem cheers joe

Hi I would use the trickle charger then, ive got one on mine and it stays on all the time its in the garage its a genuine jaguar trickle charger but it made by ctek its superb, these are quite safe, as long as you put a fuse as close as possible to the battery Ive never had any problems, but i know what you mean. cheers joe

-
Hi it has 4 speakers and 4 tweeters in the doors and two subs are mounted in the rear parcel shelf there all off the same amp the subs just give the bass, there all alpine on mine and you can adjust the bass on the touch display sound is superb, I would change anything on the sound system, sound wise its spot on, apart to add a audio connectivity module so i could play music from a flash drive cheers Joe

Hi Jim, usually on diesels this time of year, its glow plugs, but glow plugs are mainly when the cars cold and first thing in the morning but yours is just after its just stood for a few hours, I'd be tempted to swap the diesel filter and check the air filter cheers Joe
