Here's a picture of what I mean with the car stationary: The bottom edge of the bezel is reflective as shown, as I'm driving the reflection of changing light seem to flicker and I can see it out of the corner of my eye. It's only a slight distraction which hopefully I can ignore.

Anyone else noticed the touch screen bezel is very shiny, on bright days I notice flickering reflections along the bottom edge of the screen out of the corner of my eye, I keep thinking there is something wrong with the screen . I may try some matt tape along the bezel to see if that helps.

Surely if you change with Jaguar wheels which could have been specified when new, ie, I have Tritons on mine and Mercury's were also an option available, that shouldn't affect the premium. I was never asked what alloys were fitted when I insured mine.

I've used City Powdercoaters Birmingham to refurbish my Rover 75 wheels, they do a very good job and still doing the £20/wheel if like me have a spare set of wheels with no tyres on them. I think they are called Mercury wheels. Don't know if you can still buy them, but someone will be along soon who probably knows. There's somone on e bay breaking a car with them on, but they are kerbed. Sorry but I can't post a link on my phone. Update: Evil bay wheel and tyre arrived Monday 7th March, took it dawn to tyre fitter, removed and binned tyre (Chinese death ring) new Pirelli P zero fitted and balanced. Car up on ramps for 4 wheel alignment, rears spot on front nearside 3mm toe in. Adjusted to correct setting now drives perfectly. So total cost of new tyre £112 plus replacement rim £119 then tracking £44. £275 for as I thought a slow puncture. Space saver safely back where it belongs, out of sight!! Only thing left to do is a wheel refurbishment at City Powdercoaters in Birmingham as my rims are pretty badly kerbed and paint is peeling.

As above Definitely go for the flat cap. If you have the touch screen, one of the menus on start up has the volume on it.

Thanks for the comments, I have bought another Triton anyway, hopefully arriving soon so I will get the new tyre fitted to it then have the tracking done. The car looks awful with the spacesaver on. I will probably have the crack repaired and keep the wheel in the shed for emergency use only. Once again thanks for all the advice, just goes to show what a great forum this is.

Last Friday my nearside front tyre went soft, down to 15 PSI. Pumped it up to 32 PSI, checked Saturday morning down to 25 PSI. Pumped up again to 32 PSI Sunday again down to 15 PSI. Bit the bullet as the outside edge was slightly feathered and ordered a new Pirelli P 0 from black circles to be fitted today. £112 later for the tyre and was told "can't fit it Sir your rim is cracked". There is a 3 cm crack very obvious without the tyre on. Just ordered a Triton alloy from the evil bay so another £119, hopefully delivered Friday or Monday at the latest, so I'll get the new tyre fitted to that and get the tracking done as well. On the bright side a friend of mine is a welder so I'm hoping he can repair the crack for me, if so I'll use it for a full size spare. I blame the cursed potholes

Hi there, as stated, you MUST really check oil levels regularly.....high levels, oil rising is a real issue can be very expensive. Check often and as failed regens dump fuel into the oil and the level rises, when doing a change ensure to fill just below half way to allow for this., I probably do around 3-4 oil changes per year due to this issue. Hope it helps Good luck I do check oil level every couple of days, I used the sealey because it was on maximum when I bought it so took some out after reading up on this forum topic. I do a 59 mile run every weekend to visit mum so it gets a good clear out [emoji6] . Oil level hasn't changed since. [emoji1]

I use a Sealey hand vacuum type with a bicycle brake cable with the inner removed inserted into the soft pipe. like this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-TP696-Vacuum-Oil-Fluid-Extractor-Manual-5-5ltr-/151176417311?hash=item2332d1101f:g:G8EAAOSwr81UQSzN I used it to removed a small amount of oil from the Jag because it was showing just over maximum on the dip stick.

Try masking tape around the door mirrors where they fit to the door. I had the same problem on my Rover 75, turned out to be missing foam gasket.

I agree, I had the same on my Rover 75, sounded like a wheel bearing gone on the rear, checked the tyres, looked OK but one was worn down and looked like a thrupenny bit (old money). New tyres cured it. -
I often hear the 'younger' people at work discussing their cars, along the lines of "what car you got mate"?, "I got a Audi A3 lowered suspension, big bore exhaust, had it remapped, just put a leather interior in it, changing the wheels to 19" and it does 54MPG." I just chuckle, when asked what car I've got I say "a Jag", enough said, no need to elaborate.

Second update, Car now back after 2 weeks, didn't mind the delay as I have had a bout of man flu, still not right but getting there. Pleased with Branson Motors, £475 to repair the exhaust under warranty, they even gave me a copy of the receipt for my folder. I opened the boot today and found the undertray so I will put that back on myself using some new stainless bolts from work rather than driving back up to West Bromwich where they have moved to, for them to fit. Not sure whether the smell has gone, still got a blocked nose,SWMBO will tell me next time I take her out in it. Enough ramblings from a sick, getting old man, so everyone have a good drive today as I did in the sunshine here in sunny Tewkesbury. [emoji1]

Quick update, Stick on leaper ordered, took car back today to dealer's garage man. Passed on info about the flexi, hopefully I'll pick it up next week, smelling of roses and a little more economical, It's averaging 30 mpg over 780 miles since I bought it, probably because I've got a heavy right foot and it's fun.
