  1. will try and get a look at the bushes tomorrow, i think it could be a combination of the 2. if you bounce the rear suspension it settles after 1 bounce and is hard to push down. if you bounce the fron it keeps going and is very easy to push down.
  2. headlights are now nice and shiny to mach after a polish yesterday.
  3. thanks joe will give it a try tomorrow and post how i get on. i think a lot of the stuuf i read was from pauls retro fit. very helpful.
  4. sounds good to me just in a different format
  5. where abouts would the mute be on the touch screen?
  6. have not tried disconnecting the battery and i dont know what the code is for the sat nav. pritty sure i have all the connections write as i found all the liks on line and they made sense. no numbers on the Bluetooth end connection but went by the numbers on the actual bluetooth module. all tied in with what i found on line
  7. hi guys, i must admit i am in love with my jag and i think i got a steal on it. 2003 2.5v6 sat nav voice control 72000 miles when i bought her now on 98000 3 previous owners £1500
  8. hi joe, everything you have said is bang on. phone has conected makes and recieves calls and has downloaded my phone book. just no sound at the other persons end. i agree about the external mic ie lots of people using it instead of the built in but i also read there was no need to fit it if i had the voice mic as shown in my photo. part number are phone: 2w93-19k350-ad bluetooth: 3w83-14b409-ae derek.
  9. thankss joe will give them a call tomorrow.
  10. hi folks, just after a bit of advice. my s type 2.5 v6 has just turned 98.5 thousand and i am suspecting the front shocks have gone. i have had the car just over a year i always found it a bit wooly at times with a fair bit of under steer but more worryingly is when i hit any pot holes or bumps in the road it jumps to either side. if you are on a bumpy a or b road at anything over 50mph its like driving a cartoon bus with the big steering wheel. i am thinking that its all relating to the front shocks as i can bounce the front end up and down easily with one hand. i do a lot of motorway miles so never noticed how bad it was until i was out the other day driving on a load of b roads. my father in law had 2 of the 3 litre s-types and a s-type R and said they all handled well. does any one have any suggestions or know the best place to order shocks from as they seem to range from £120 to £220 each for the standard comfort shocks. derek.
  11. thanks peter there is certainly a wealth of knowledge from what i have read. derek.
  12. hopefully some one can help as i am going blind with all the pages i have looked at on the web🙈. i have just retro fitted a phone and bluetooth models to my s type. it originally came with sat nav and voice and pre wired for everything else. i initialy installed the phone and bluetooth modules and had a message on the screen saying phone in use hang up, after a bit of surfing i found that i had to do some re-wiring, sorted no message phone book downloaded and can make calls. This is where i am stuck, i can hear the other person but they cant hear me. by what i can find on the web this has been discussed on loads of sites but it is always with people retro fitting with no voice and then cutting/joining wires. i have the built in microphone in the roof not the external mic. voice works no problem. can any one help as i am really struggling.
  13. hi folks been viewing the site since i bought my first jag last year and i thought its about time i joined and said hello.
